Unlike some cancers, there is currently no known way to prevent most sarcomas.

Because these cancers are rare and often develop without a clear cause, the focus is on being aware of your body and seeking medical advice if you notice changes that don't go away.

A lump that continues to grow, persistent bone pain, or unexplained swelling should never be ignored.

While not every symptom will be serious, early assessment gives healthcare professionals the best opportunity to determine the cause and, if necessary, begin treatment as soon as possible.

Awareness, early action, and expert care can make a meaningful difference.

There is no single treatment plan for sarcoma or bone cancer.

Every patient's care is carefully planned based on the type of sarcoma, where it is located, its size, and whether it has spread.

Treatment may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or a combination of these approaches. Your oncology team works together to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs.

Finding an unusual lump or experiencing persistent bone pain can be worrying, but understanding the next steps can help ease some of the uncertainty.

Diagnosing sarcoma usually involves a clinical examination, medical imaging such as an X-ray, CT scan or MRI, and, where necessary, a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis.

Every person's journey is different, but early assessment gives healthcare professionals the best opportunity to determine the cause of your symptoms and recommend the most appropriate treatment.
