For Mandela Day this year, we had the absolute privilege of visiting a local old age home to facilitate our Occupational Therapy groups.

It was 67 minutes filled with engaging activities, laughter and meaningful connection. We are so grateful to the staff for welcoming us so warmly and to the residents who enthusiastically took part.

And to our incredible OTs - thank you for your dedication, compassion, and hard work. We are so proud to have such an amazing team making a difference in our community. ✨️❤️

What an honour. 💜

On Friday evening, members of the VHOT team attended the Raising Hope Gala Dinner hosted by Khanyisa Centre.

The evening was a beautiful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose. Hearing stories of resilience, celebrating milestones, and witnessing the passion behind the Centre's work left us inspired and deeply grateful to have been part of it.

Just when you thought we were done, we have a whole new team member to introduce!😅 .nice welcome to the VHOT family!💛

Hi everyone! 🌷

I’m so happy to introduce myself. My name is Kirsti Nice, and I recently joined the Vicki Hofmann Occupational Therapy team.

Originally from Pretoria, I moved to Port Shepstone in 2025 to complete my community service year. During that time, I learnt so much, and met incredible people who played a part in my growth as both a therapist and a person.

At the start of this year, my boyfriend (Mark) and I took another big leap and moved from Port Shepstone to Ballito. We made the move without the certainty of a job, walking by faith and trusting that the right doors would open 🙏🏼

Since joining Vicky Hoffman Occupational Therapy, I have had the privilege of learning from an amazing team, gaining valuable experience, and continuing to grow as a therapist every day. I am truly thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a supportive practice. 😊

Outside of work, my days have been filled with playing padel, exploring more of beautiful KZN, and watching the incredible sunsets. 🌅

I have loved getting involved in the church community, travelling back to Pretoria for my childhood best friends’ wedding (how time flies 🥹), and attending Ultra Music Festival.

Music is a big part of our lives, and with Mark working in the music industry we’ve also enjoyed travelling to places such as Newcastle and the North West for events and performances.

I’m excited for this new chapter and look forward to meeting and working with the wonderful people in our community! 🌞

Let's see what has been up to!👀

Life lately!? 😅 is moving at lightning speed and it’s made me realise more than ever just how precious these seasons of life really are🥹✨

• Officially entered my 3rd trimester of pregnancy 🤍 Mentally, physically and emotionally preparing ourselves to welcome a new little member into our family in just +/- 10 weeks 🕰️

• Navigating all the big toddler milestones at once - settling my little boy into his very first stage of schooling, moving him into his big boy bedroom AND having his first proper big boy haircut 🥹😭 oh AND potty training!! 😳

• Attempting (and currently failing 🤣) to start sorting nursery things. I’ll get there eventually… hopefully before the baby arrives 😜

• Escaped for the most beautiful long weekend in Dullstroom for a wedding — full of peace, quiet, fresh air and actual relaxation. I even managed to read an entire book which honestly deserves its own celebration 👏🏼📚

• Attending what feels like every toddler birthday party in existence this year 🤣🎈 9 and counting…

• Soaking up the last bits of summer with gorgeous beach days spent with family and friends in our hometown 🌊☀️ Feeling very grateful for this little life of ours!

Life lately has felt beautifully full, slightly chaotic, emotional, exciting and very fast! I am just so excited for the second half of the year 🩵🩷

"What Have They Been Up To?" with the lovely

Life update ✨

I still absolutely love living in Umhlanga, sho, it really is such a spectacular place, with some of the best weather in the world.

This year I tried something new: ocean swimming. It’s been an absolute blast, and I wish more people knew the magic of it, a long swim in the sea, goggles on, on a clear morning with the sun coming up… completely unmatched. I’ve been slacking a bit lately as the weather turns a bit cooler (Living in Durban has made me soft!) but hopefully I’ll be brave again soon 😅

I’m still loving running too. Big shoutout to Runboss and the running pals who hold me accountable to those crack-of-dawn sunrise runs.

Aimée, the giant bouvier/real-life teddy, continues to bring so much joy. Jovi, the sweet yellow lab, still takes up most of my camera roll with all her funny couch positions.

It’s been wedding season, which has been such a joy, so special seeing your mates get married and start new chapters. My brother also got married earlier this year, which was a huge joy for our family, and I got myself a sista!

Jono is back in South Africa permanently! So stoked to not be doing long distance anymore!

I’m loving being involved with youth at church. Sho, I love the teens, and it’s such a privilege watching them grow closer to Jesus.

Masters is still going, but the finish line is in sight! Submitting in the next few months! It’s been a privilege, but I’ll also be so relieved when it’s handed in 😉

Lots of adventures too: hiking in Cape Town, and spending the night in the Ranger stuck in the mud in Zambia 😂

And through it all, God has been so kind and faithful, gently teaching me to love the people around me as best as I can. Thank goodness for Jesus and His grace. 🤍

You could never accuse us of being all work and no play!😜

We took a walk down to Gateway as a team and enjoyed bowling for one of our lunchbreaks last week. Judging by the scores, our OTs are multi-talented!

Protecting healing, one tiny step at a time.

These bilateral arm splints helped to keep these little hands away from his cleft palate stitches, supporting safe healing and recovery. 💪💛
