Roots Therapy

Roots Therapy Roots Therapy has a deep rooted passion to help those in need using a holistic approach.

I am a born empath with a passion to help people reach their full potential by bringing balance to the body, mind and soul. During my own healing journey I experienced an awakening which enhanced my inherent abilities further and has allowed me to become a stronger healer and intuitive reader. My inborn passion is to help facilitate the healing of anyone I meet and it's with this care that I have created Roots Therapy. I want to get down to the root cause of the problem so that my clients can experience true healing - healing that is steadfast and restorative. All of my healing techniques are energy based, including the easy-to-follow nutritional advice and the herbal supplements that I may recommend. Having a BA Degree in Psychology I am very adept at counselling my clients through their trials and tribulations, with my number one goal being the complete balance between the body, mind and soul!

In September 2017 my healing journey began!

So this month not only am I celebrating my birthday but also 9 years of walking a path of wellness πŸ‘£

As I journeyed into a state of healing there have been MANY things that I have learnt along the way - I'd like to share some of these with you today πŸͺ»

* You are what you eat, think, say and do
* Your liver is the organ of balance
* Your digestive system is the engine behind this balance
* Your body thrives on fruit, vegetables and lots of hydration
* Stress is a killer
* Healing cannot happen without a positive mindset
* Meditation is medicine for the brain
* Creativity feeds the nervous system
* Living in faith is your greatest strength

It's time to live the best life! The life you deserve 🌈

is all about *Tryptophan* -

"Tryptophan is an amino acid needed for normal growth in infants and for the production and maintenance of the body's proteins, muscles, enzymes, and neurotransmitters. It is an essential amino acid which means your body cannot produce it, so you must get it from your diet."

Tryptophan helps the body make proteins and certain brain-signaling chemicals. Your body changes L-tryptophan into a brain chemical called serotonin, which is our happy neurotransmitter.

Tryptophan is also the precursor of melatonin, our sleepy hormone, which helps us get a deep, restful sleep πŸ’€

Tryptophan is found in nuts, seeds, oats, bananas, dried prunes, tuna fish, chicken and turkey! So grab a banana before bed to help you settle 🍌

*Never invalidate your feelings*

Being an empath I navigate each day through the perspective of others - each person I meet and each situation I'm in is then experienced from the lens of their awareness... Their emotions, their thoughts, their pain...

It took me a long time to understand that as I was overcome by external energies my own feelings were always invalidated. My emotions brushed aside to make way for someone else's pain - thinking that this was helpful and healthy πŸ₯΄

And so many of you live like this too by saying things like *"my problems are nothing compared to so-and-so"*

But don't forget that your problems are important because they are YOUR worries that possibly keep you awake at night or bring upon anxiety and fear -

So let's stop that!

We each have our own Triple A -

* Acknowledge that you are upset by naming the emotion and feeling where it sits in your body
* Accept that your feelings are valid and okay to feel
* Allow them to release through journalling, meditation, prayer or verbal communication

Show yourself compassion as you move through these steps understanding that acknowledgment of our inner feelings allow release so from now on give your concerns a space to breathe 🀍

And remember that only once we have given this turmoil a passage to move through will be possible to open our hearts to living in gratitude and calm with greater ease πŸͺ»

*What are you saying yes to?*

Is there something that you have been keen to start up but too nervous to take the first step?

What's the worst that could happen?

I'll tell you - ABSOLUTELY nothing...

People that care about you will see you striving for your best and will root for you even if you trip a little bit....

And those that don't know you have nothing to guage your abilities against so will more likely look at how courageous you are being for trying something new 🀍

If I had decided to not follow the impulse and change my career at 42 years old I would have missed out on SO MANY wonderful, joyous moments and opportunities 😌

Don't wait until it's the right time!
Do it now - while the impulse is there and ready to be realised πŸ”₯

Enjoy this beautiful meditation to help you find your YES 🧑
