I am a born empath with a passion to help people reach their full potential by bringing balance to the body, mind and soul. During my own healing journey I experienced an awakening which enhanced my inherent abilities further and has allowed me to become a stronger healer and intuitive reader. My inborn passion is to help facilitate the healing of anyone I meet and it's with this care that I have

created Roots Therapy. I want to get down to the root cause of the problem so that my clients can experience true healing - healing that is steadfast and restorative. *Never invalidate your feelings*

Being an empath I navigate each day through the perspective of others - each person I meet and each situation I'm in is then experienced from the lens of their awareness... Their emotions, their thoughts, their pain...

It took me a long time to understand that as I was overcome by external energies my own feelings were always invalidated. My emotions brushed aside to make way for someone else's pain - thinking that this was helpful and healthy 🥴

And so many of you live like this too by saying things like *"my problems are nothing compared to so-and-so"*

But don't forget that your problems are important because they are YOUR worries that possibly keep you awake at night or bring upon anxiety and fear -

So let's stop that!

We each have our own Triple A -

* Acknowledge that you are upset by naming the emotion and feeling where it sits in your body
* Accept that your feelings are valid and okay to feel
* Allow them to release through journalling, meditation, prayer or verbal communication

Show yourself compassion as you move through these steps understanding that acknowledgment of our inner feelings allow release so from now on give your concerns a space to breathe 🤍

And remember that only once we have given this turmoil a passage to move through will be possible to open our hearts to living in gratitude and calm with greater ease 🪻

*What are you saying yes to?*

Is there something that you have been keen to start up but too nervous to take the first step?

What's the worst that could happen?

I'll tell you - ABSOLUTELY nothing...

People that care about you will see you striving for your best and will root for you even if you trip a little bit....

And those that don't know you have nothing to guage your abilities against so will more likely look at how courageous you are being for trying something new 🤍

If I had decided to not follow the impulse and change my career at 42 years old I would have missed out on SO MANY wonderful, joyous moments and opportunities 😌

Don't wait until it's the right time!
Do it now - while the impulse is there and ready to be realised 🔥

Enjoy this beautiful meditation to help you find your YES 🧡

*Hope... A feeling of trust* ✨

How do we hold onto hope in times of crises?

There are a few things that you can do to ensure hope is the light you burn during stressful times🕯️

* Breath - by just bringing focus to your breath you can incorporate a sense of peace within

* Gratitude - by focusing on the blessings around you allows you to feel more grounded and connected to hope

* Release - taking an Epsom Salt bath is wonderful at easing the nerves and calming the mind so hope can get in

* Quiet - practicing meditation increases your inner peace and allows hope to grow

* Faith - believing in something greater than you aids in reducing your fears and increasing your hope

* Trust - embracing a trusting nature that everything will work out can help reduce anxiety and nurture a heart with hope

"*Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words, and never stops... at all*" - Emily Dickinson

May you feel, embrace and hold hope in your heart everyday 🤍

Fruit strips are such a fun and effective way to get fruit into your precious children’s bellies. They’re colorful, delicious, and so convenient to give to your children or for them to grab themselves. They’re also a great travel, car, and work snack for those of us with a few extra years on us!

Berries are true brain food. Not only are they B12-enhancing; they have the power to reverse stains on the brain—For any illness with neurological symptoms, berries are the answer. When you think of heart health, too, think berries. Nothing compares to the way berries protect heart valves and ventricles and remove plaque by dissolving hardened fat deposits within veins and arteries.

Berries also have pro-fertility compounds, which derive from a single variety of polyphenol, which are responsible for a woman’s reproductive system’s ability to maintain a constant balance.

*Very Berry Fruit Strips*

Ingredients:

4 cups berries (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries)
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/3 cup + 1 tbsp maple syrup

Directions:

Preheat oven to 170F/75C. Blend the berries, lemon juice and maple syrup in a blender until very smooth, about 4-5 minutes.
Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper and spread the mixture thinly. Bake the oven for 3-4 hours, until the mixture is not sticky any more.
Let cool, then cut into strips. Store in an airtight container.

😋 Yum!

Along my healing journey I learnt a great deal about the human body and how to find internal balance - one life hack I was introduced to was squatting🤗

Did you know?

• Squats strengthen your lower-body muscles incl. glutes, hamstring, quads and calves
• Squats strengthen your core strength
• Squats improve balance, posture and mobility
• Squats boost athletic performance
• Squats keep bones and joints strong
• Squats burn more calories and increases circulation
• Squats improve digestion
• Squats boost anabolic hormones and therefore improve overall hormonal balance

Visit the following website to see which squat suits you best!

*Mushrooms - your livers greatest ally*

Containing phytochemical compounds that assist the detoxification of the liver without hurting it, mushrooms are true medicine for the liver.

"A mushroom is a fungus that destroys fungus, and the liver accepts mushrooms as allies—if the liver is dealing with unwanted microorganisms such as fungus, mushrooms are very helpful in pushing them out of the liver." A Williams

Furthermore mushrooms continue to eradicate fungus, bacteria, and viruses in the intestinal tract, allowing for cleaner nutrients and cleaner blood to arrive in the liver thereby regulating blood pressure alongside reducing cholesterol 🍄

Plus mushrooms have the unique ability to produce vitamin D when exposed to light therefore leaving mushrooms in the sunlight for 20 to 60 minutes before eating them is a wonderful way to supplement your body with this healing vitamin 💪🏻
