Zambia Business and Disability Network To raise awareness among employees about the positive relationship between hiring persons with disabilities and business success.

The Zambia Business and Disability Network looks at issues of enhancing employability of persons with disability by building capacities of both the supply and demand sides of labour market. In doing so, it will focus on strengthening the skills and confidence of its said networks of companies/employers by making them become more aware of disability issues for them to develop inclusive workplace policies

In its continued effort to bring about inclusion in the work place for Persons living with Disabilities, the Zambia Business and Disability Network from time to time comes together with its cooperating partners to discuss the way forward for this noble cause. Such was the case on the 3rd of February 2017 when an employer’s breakfast meeting was called for at Protea Hotel Arcades, Lusaka. Below are some of the photos from the meeting.

The Zambia Federation of Employers (ZFE) in partnership with the Finish Embassy is currently undertaking a project called Zambia Business and Disability Network. The Aim of the project is to raise awareness among employers about the positive relationship between hiring persons with disabilities and business success with the view of enhancing inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in the labour market. In view of this, ZFE has created a data base of persons with disabilities in an effort to link them with employers. We are therefore requesting all persons with disabilities who are interested, to forward their detailed Curriculum Vitae to be added to the data base.
