Today, we observe World Hepatitis Day.

Hepatitis affects the liver and can lead to serious health complications if left undiagnosed or untreated.

Awareness, testing, vaccination, and timely medical care all play an important role in prevention and management.

Knowing your status can help protect your health and support early treatment where needed.
Protect your liver. Know your status.

Supporting healthier communities, one screening at a time.

cfb Medical Centre was proud to be part of the Annual Charity Golf Tournament held on Sunday, 19th July 2026, at Lusaka Golf Club, where our team provided preventive health screenings and wellness advice to participants and attendees.

Through initiatives like these, we continue to promote early detection, healthier lifestyles, and greater access to quality healthcare beyond our clinic walls.

Cold weather can make it tempting to stay indoors, but keeping active remains an important part of maintaining your health.

Simple activities such as walking, stretching, or light exercises at home can help improve circulation, support your immune system, and contribute to your overall wellbeing during the cold season.

Remember to warm up before exercising, dress appropriately for the weather, and stay hydrated.
Keep moving. Stay healthy.

Appendicitis is inflammation of the appendix, a small pouch attached to the large intestine.
It often causes abdominal pain that may begin around the belly button and later move to the lower right side of the abdomen.

Common signs may include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fever, or bloating.

Appendicitis can become serious if left untreated, so severe or worsening abdominal pain should not be ignored.

For suspected appendicitis or concerning abdominal pain, visit the Emergency Unit or speak to our General Surgery team for medical assessment.

For appointments or more information about our General Surgery services, contact cfb Medical Centre.

Have you noticed pain or a burning feeling when urinating? It could be a urinary tract infection, a common infection that affects parts of the urinary system, including the bladder and urethra.

A UTI is often linked to bacteria entering the urinary tract, but it can affect both women and men and should be checked if symptoms persist.

Your nervous system plays a role in everything you do. The three main parts of your nervous system are your brain, spinal cord and nerves.

It helps you move, think and feel. It also helps regulate things you do not think about, such as digestion.

The nervous system uses nerve cells called neurons to send signals throughout the body, helping your brain, skin, organs, glands and muscles communicate.
