“I’m the farmer… 👩🏾‍🌾 And the overall winner too 🏆🚜”

This 20-year-old farmer, Velile Ngwabi from Matopo, didn’t just show up — she won overall in the produce section and took home a two-wheel “walking” tractor.

Happy Workers’ Day to those turning hard work into results.

What started as a challenge turned into a powerful lesson in resilience !

At this year’s show, Deep Plough stood out for more than just their produce. After facing heavy losses from fresh cabbage sales, the team rethought their entire approach — moving into drying and value addition to protect their harvest and increase returns.

Today, their model is a reminder that in agriculture, innovation often comes from experience.
