🎉 Mufaro Association’s 15-Day Digital Health Campaign🎉
Promoting Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health & Mental Wellbeing This Festive Season

As Mufaro Association, we are excited to launch our 15-day digital campaign to raise awareness and spark meaningful conversations around adolescent and youth health during the festive season.

This time of year can be overwhelming for many young people from social pressure, curiosity, and misinformation, to emotional and mental health challenges. Through this campaign, we aim to empower both young people and their caregivers with the right information, support, and tools to make healthy and safe decisions.

🔍 Key Focus Areas Include:
1. Navigating Peer Pressure– How to say NO to risky behaviours while staying socially connected.
2. Menstrual Health & Safe Days– Helping adolescent girls understand their bodies and cycles.
3. Contraceptive Options –Including Sayana Press and emergency contraception.
4. Abistinence and Condom Use for Dual Protection–For pregnancy and STI prevention.
5. Substance Abuse Risks –Addressing festive season experimentation with drugs & alcohol.
6. Mental Health Matters –Dealing with pressure, anxiety, and expectations during the holidays.
7. Supporting Parents & Caregivers – Enhancing communication and understanding of adolescent transitions.

This campaign will run in both English and Shona, to ensure inclusivity and reach. Let’s make this festive season safe, informed, and uplifting for our young people.

Today, we join the world in commemorating World AIDS Day under the theme:
"Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response."

This year’s theme reminds us of the urgent need to strengthen and adapt our HIV response in the face of ongoing social, economic, and health challenges, including gender-based violence (GBV).

As we also observe the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, it's important to recognize the intersection between GBV and HIV. Women and girls, especially in underserved communities, are more vulnerable to HIV due to violence, stigma, and unequal access to health services.

At Mufaro Association, we continue to raise awareness, empower communities, and advocate for integrated solutions that protect and uplift every woman, girl, and young person, online, offline, and in every space they exist.

Let’s unite efforts to end AIDS and gender-based violence. One world, one fight.
