Strengthening our commitment to PSEAH.

Nzeve staff recently participated in a two-day training on the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), building our understanding of SEAH risks and appropriate response mechanisms.

The training also provided an opportunity to reflect on our individual and collective responsibilities, strengthen survivor-centred approaches, and identify practical actions that promote a safe, respectful and accountable environment for everyone. 🀝🏽

πŸ“ Mark 3:3–6

β€œStretch out your hand.”

Jesus invited the man to step forward, even when others were watching and ready to judge. Instead of avoiding the moment, he chose compassion and restored what had been broken.

This verse reminds us that choosing kindness and doing what is right can make a lasting difference, even when it isn't the easiest choice.

New skills are taking shape as parents of Deaf children take part in hairdressing training through Nzeve’s Early Intervention, Advocacy and Community Impact Project.

The training is helping parents build practical skills, explore income opportunities and strengthen their ability to support their families.

A step towards greater confidence, independence and brighter possibilities. πŸ’™

Empowering Deaf Youth Through Advocacy

Nzeve recently conducted a Deaf advocacy training in Chipinge through the Early Intervention, Advocacy and Community Impact Project, bringing together Deaf youths to strengthen their understanding of disability rights, self-advocacy and community leadership.

The training provided a platform for participants to build confidence, develop advocacy skills and learn how to effectively raise their voices on issues affecting the Deaf community. Through interactive discussions and shared experiences, the young advocates explored the importance of knowing their rights, promoting inclusion and taking an active role in creating positive change within their communities.

When Deaf youths are equipped with the knowledge and skills to advocate for themselves and others, they become powerful agents of change, helping to build more inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to participate and thrive.

πŸ“ Mark 3:1–2

β€œSome of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus.”

As Jesus entered the synagogue, he noticed a man with a withered hand. While some people were focused on finding fault, Jesus was focused on the person in front of him.

This verse reminds us that choosing compassion over criticism can make a real difference in someone's life.
