👣 Do you have bunions or worried that you might get them? Or are they already starting to make everyday activities uncomfortable?

A bunion is more than just a bump on the side of your foot. It can cause pain, swelling, difficulty finding comfortable shoes, and may gradually affect the way you walk.

While genetics often play a role, certain footwear and foot mechanics can significantly make bunions worse. But early intervention can help to slow the progression. Treatment options include footwear advice, padding, exercises, and/or orthotics.

If you're noticing pain around your big toe joint or a developing bunion, don't ignore it. The sooner it's assessed, the more options you may have. Pop in and see us at one of the posidatry clinics in Stirling, Mt Barker or Linden Park. 💚👣💙

👣 We see many children and teens here at our family-friendly clinics. Often for these common problems because growing feet need the right support. 🏃🏃‍♀️🚶🏼‍♀️🚶

Many ongoing common foot problems in children can be prevented early with the right footwear, movement habits, and regular check-ups. From flat feet and heel pain to ingrown toenails and walking concerns, small issues can sometimes turn into bigger problems if left untreated.

At Sanders Podiatry, we help parents understand what’s normal, what to watch for, and when to seek advice. Early care can make a big difference to your child’s comfort, confidence, and development. 💙💚

We often find that problems in the feet are hereditary. If you can diagnose and act on them while the feet are still developing and growing in young children, then you’ll have a much better chance of correcting the problem before it becomes permanent.

👣 Cold feet, cramping, or pain when walking? It might be more than just tired legs…

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) affects blood flow to your feet and legs, and it often goes unnoticed in the early stages.

Signs to watch for:
• Pain or cramping when walking
• Cold feet or toes
• Slow-healing wounds
• Changes in skin colour or texture

Left untreated, PAD can lead to serious complications. The good news is that early detection makes a big difference. At Sanders Podiatry, we look beyond the surface to help keep your feet healthy and supported.

✨ If something doesn’t feel right, it’s worth checking. 💚💙 Learn more in our blog below 👇

👣 Do you really need orthotics… or not?

Orthotics can make a huge difference for some people – but they’re not a one-size-fits-all solution.

If you’re dealing with foot pain, tired feet, or ongoing discomfort in your heels, arches or even knees and hips, orthotics might help… but only if they’re right for you.

At Sanders Podiatry, we look at the full picture – how you walk, your foot structure, your lifestyle – before recommending anything.

✨ The goal isn’t just relief… it’s the right long-term support for your body.

👣 How to better look after your feet as you get older so you get many comfortable years exploring the wonderful walks around Adelaide. As we age, our feet go through a lot - thinner skin, reduced circulation, and more wear and tear from years of use. But a little regular care can make a big difference to your comfort and mobility.

Simple habits like keeping your nails trimmed, moisturising daily, wearing supportive shoes, and checking your feet for changes can help prevent bigger issues down the track.

If you’re noticing pain, changes in your feet, or just want peace of mind, it’s always worth getting them checked.

At Sanders Podiatry, we’re here to help you stay comfortable, active, and confident on your feet at every stage of life.

Are your feet just tired… or is it something more? 👣

We all get sore feet from time to time – especially after long days, exercise, or being on the go. But when that discomfort keeps coming back, it could be more than just fatigue.

One of the most common conditions we see is plantar fasciitis – and it often starts off feeling like “just tired feet.”

So how can you tell the difference?

👉 Tired feet usually ease with rest
👉 Plantar fasciitis often causes sharp heel pain, especially first thing in the morning or after sitting

Ignoring the early signs can lead to ongoing pain and longer recovery time. If your feet are trying to tell you something, it’s worth listening.

💬 Not sure what you’re dealing with? We’re here to help.
