I don’t know who needs to hear this, but buccal massage shouldn’t be painful.

Good intraoral work feels therapeutic. Gentle, firm pressure, applied with patience, so the tissue has time to respond rather than resist.

When pressure tips into pain, the body tends to brace. The jaw tightens against your hands and the nervous system moves toward protection, a response widely observed across manual therapy.

What 18 years of hands on practice has shown me is that the deepest change happens when a client feels safe enough to soften.
