🧦This years theme is 'Safe to Speak Up'

We are keeping up the conversations about mental health by wearing our odd socks today! It's to raise awareness about doctors experiencing mental illness in silence and normalising the conversation around mental health in a safe place.

Let's address the stigma, and make it ok for a Doctor not to be ok.

🥤When the cooler months arrive it's easy to forget to stay properly hydrated.

Did you know that water makes up over half your body? It is essential for digesting food, absorbing nutrients, removing waste, moving well and regulating temperature.

To stay hydrated, it's important to drink before you feel thirsty, especially if you are exercising or if it's a hot day.

Your exact water needs will depend on a number of factors like exercise, weight and age, or the medications you take.

As a general rule:
✔️ men need about 10 cups (2.6 litres) of fluids every day
✔️ women need about 8 cups (2.1 litres) of fluids a day
✔️ children need about 4 to 5 cups of fluids a day.

The colour of your urine is one of the easiest ways to tell if you are drinking enough water. If it’s a darker yellow – it’s likely a sign you need to drink more water!
