💙 DYING TO KNOW MONTH | AUGUST 💙

As we come to the end of August, the team at Anglesea Medical has taken part in raising awareness for Dying to Know Month.

Dying to Know Day was held on 8th August, encouraging open and honest conversations around end-of-life wishes, advance care planning and grief management.

These conversations can feel difficult, uncomfortable or like something we don’t need to think about “just yet”. But starting the conversation early can make an important difference — for you, your family and those supporting you.

Our GPs and nurses at Anglesea Medical can help you take that first step. You don’t need to have all the answers. Starting the conversation with us can help point you in the right direction, provide guidance on where to begin, and connect you with the right people and services for further support.

Start the conversations we know can be tricky to have.
Because sometimes, having the conversation is the most important place to start.

💚💙 Welcome Dr Zulfa to Anglesea Medical! 💙💚

We are so excited to welcome Dr Zulfa to Anglesea Medical. Dr Zulfa will now be consulting from our clinic every Wednesday, helping us continue to provide quality healthcare for our local community.

After graduating from the University of Cape Town in 2009, Dr Zulfa gained extensive experience across general practice, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, and paediatrics. She also holds a Diploma in Child Health and has a genuine passion for caring for babies, children and their families.

Since making Australia home, Dr Zulfa has worked in both hospital and general practice settings and is also a Medical Educator with the RACGP, helping to train the next generation of GPs.

Although she enjoys all areas of general practice and caring for patients of all ages, Dr Zulfa has a special interest in children’s health.

We’re proud to continue growing our team to better serve the Surf Coast community.

Last year we got behind The Push-Up Challenge to help raise funds, start conversations, and show just how powerful community support can be when it comes to mental health. 💪❤️

So we’re doing it again.

From 3-26 June, the team at Anglesea Medical will be taking part in this year’s Push-Up Challenge and we’d love more locals to join us. You can sign up to participate, support a friend, or make a donation to help fund mental health services and awareness across Australia.

And don’t stress... you don’t need to smash out thousands of push-ups to be involved. You can set your own target, substitute exercises, or simply support the cause from the sidelines. Every bit counts.

Easter Saturday - OPEN (9:00am-12:00pm - limited availability)
Easter Sunday - CLOSED

We will reopen with normal hours on Tuesday 7th April.

If you require urgent medical care while we are closed, please contact your nearest urgent care clinic, or attend the nearest emergency department in case of an emergency.
