Meet The Team!

Introducing our amazing Support Worker Team Leader Kirsty!

Starting in support work we saw far more ability and opportunity and transitioned Kirsty into the office. Kirsty brings organisation, calm and consistency to a fast‑paced environment. She supports our team with exceptional time management, a sharp eye for detail and a natural ability to guide others with confidence and care. Whether she’s coordinating day‑to‑day operations, checking in with staff or getting out in the field to offer hands‑on support, Kirsty ensures everything runs smoothly and everyone feels backed.

She’s also the vital communication bridge between our support workers and the office, making sure information flows clearly and efficiently so participants receive the highest quality care. Kirsty works equally well independently and within a team, adapting to whatever the day brings while keeping our standards strong. Her leadership, professionalism and genuine commitment to people make her an invaluable part of Calacare.

Some cheeky insights to Kirsty.

Back in early May his mobility scooter was stolen whilst parked out the front of a shop in the Bridge Mall. A disgusting act, but we'll keep our thoughts on these individuals respectable on here and focus on the positives!

HE GOT IT BACK!!

Australia has lost an incredible leader with the passing of Neale Daniher. His courage, humour and determination in the face of Motor Neurone Disease inspired millions across the country.

Neale turned his own diagnosis into a national movement of hope and action. Through FightMND and the iconic Big Freeze, he helped raise vital awareness and funding for research, support services and families living with MND. His impact has changed lives and will continue to do so for generations.

Today, we honour Neale’s legacy — his strength, his advocacy and the way he brought Australians together for a cause bigger than himself.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and the entire MND community.
Rest peacefully, Neale. Your fight lives on.
