I'm walking toward my shadow to find the gold within.
For a long time, I believed growth meant becoming more of the parts of myself that were easy to love.
The capable one.
The kind one.
The strong one.
The spiritual one.
But true transformation asked something different of me.
It asked me to turn toward the parts I had hidden away.
The people-pleaser.
The abandoned child.
The controller.
The one who felt not enough.
The one who carried grief, anger, fear and shame.
Not to fix them.
Not to banish them.
But to listen.
Because our shadow is not a flaw in our character.
It is often the collection of parts we learned to exile in order to belong, survive or be loved.
And buried beneath those disowned parts lies something precious.
Authenticity.
Wisdom.
Power.
Creativity.
Truth.
Gold.
The shadow is not where we lose ourselves.
It is where we find the pieces of ourselves we left behind and every step toward the shadow is a step toward wholeness.
Every part we reclaim becomes available to us as strength, compassion and deeper self-leadership.
We do not remember who we are by becoming someone new, we remember by gathering all of ourselves home.
And that is where the gold lives.
Love
