Presence with all that is

The past few weeks have been challenging, I've experienced incredible highs and devastating lows. Extraordinary achievements have existed alongside profound pain.

Throughout it all, I have had to deepen my capacity to hold both realities, the duality of life. The Truth of what Is

When we become so consumed by what is painful, we can lose sight of everything that is good, this is where suffering can set in.

And yet, we can also become so attached to what feels good that we turn away from anything painful, uncomfortable or asking for our attention, love and care.

A favour for either can disconnect us from the full truth of our selves, eachother and our lives.

Being present means remaining connected to all that is, to what is working and what is not, what is beautiful and what hurts, what we have have and what we've lost.

So much of who I am today, what I have created and the people I have beside me are what I once longed for.

That does not erase how challenging life can be.

The gold is not found in the absence of pain and challenge. It is found in our willingness to hold it all, to honour what hurts while still recognising all that is good.

Presence is the willingness to see ourselves and our lives clearly, without denying one reality in favour of another.

To remain connected to ourselves and eachother through it all.

To see. To feel. To hear. To understand

That is what it means to love.

I am launching this Sunday!

Finding Our Way Back to Love — A Journey of Recovery

After three years of writing, learning, questioning and creating, this book is finally ready to make its way into the world.

I could not let this moment arrive without thanking everyone who has walked beside me.

Thank you for your love, kindness, friendship, coaching, mentoring and encouragement. Thank you for the courage you have shared, the work you have done and the many ways you have inspired me.

I know I did not reach this moment alone.

My hope is that this book helps people understand themselves with greater compassion. That it offers a new way of seeing the habits, relationships and ways of coping they have struggled to change.

If it helps even one person feel less alone, understand themselves more deeply or begin finding their way back to connection, truth and love, then every part of this journey is exactly the reason why I both wrote this book and why I do what I do

I would absolutely love to share this special evening with you.

Sunday, 30 August at 7:00 pm AEST
Online and free to attend.

THREE DAYS UNTIL LAUNCH

The symbol on the cover of Finding Our Way Back to Love is not simply a logo.

It represents the heart of this entire body of work.

One circle holds the light.

The other holds the dark.

And where the two meet, something new is created.

Gold.

Alchemy.

Not because the darkness disappears.

Not because the light defeats it.

But because when we stop dividing ourselves into the parts we accept and the parts we reject, everything begins to transform.

That is what finding our way back to love has come to mean to me.

It is not becoming perfect.

It is not creating a perfect life.

It is not finally becoming the person who never struggles, never falls apart, never gets frightened and never loses their way.

It is learning how to stand in the middle of all of it.

The light and the dark.

The strength and the vulnerability.

The certainty and the fear.

The person we have been and the person we are becoming.

This book has asked that of me at every stage.

And, if I am completely honest, it is still asking it of me now.

This journey has been extraordinary

There have been moments of deep pride and gratitude. Moments when I have looked at what has been created and known exactly why I had to do it.

The idea that I needed to arrive here perfectly.

With a perfect book.

A perfect launch.

A perfect life.

A perfect version of me.

I don’t.

None of us do.

The gold is not found in perfection.

It is created in the meeting place.

When we stop abandoning ourselves in the darkness.

When we stop performing only the light.

When we allow every part of who we are to belong.

Three days from now, I will launch this book.

Not as someone who has mastered life.

But as someone who has lived this work, been undone by it, transformed through it and who continues to find her way back.

Again and again.

Back to connection.

Back to truth.

Back to love.

Six Days Until Launch—and the Truth Is, I Nearly Didn’t

There have been several moments over the past few weeks when I genuinely did not think this launch was going to happen.

There have been delays.

Things have gone wrong.

There have been tears, a few meltdowns and moments when I wondered whether I had the capacity to keep going.

At times, I wanted to pull the whole thing.

I always knew the weeks leading up to something this significant would challenge me. Anything meaningful asks something of us, and rarely does everything go according to plan.

This has certainly been no exception.

But the roughest edges have been smoothed. The pieces are coming together. And despite everything, I am incredibly proud to say:

We are launching.

Behind the scenes, I have also been building something very close to my heart.

Four extensive libraries created to help you understand yourself, your behaviour, your relationships and your life more deeply:

• Emotions and Emotional Pain
• Addiction and Coping
• Relationships and Relationship Repair
• Love, Life and Purpose

These libraries have been created with an enormous amount of love, care and intention.

They are there to help you understand what you feel, why you cope in the ways you do, what happens between us in relationships, and how we begin finding our way back to ourselves and the lives we truly want to live.

The book is the introduction.

The libraries are the deeper body of work.

They are where we begin exploring what recovery actually asks of us—not only understanding our pain and behaviour, but learning how to create safety, connection, healthier relationships and a life that feels true.

Much of this content will be freely available because I want this work to reach the people who need it.

So, after three years of writing, creating, questioning, falling apart and finding my feet again, we are almost there.

Six days to go.

I hope you will join me this Sunday, 30 August, at 7pm AEST, as we celebrate the launch of Finding Our Way Back to Love – A Journey of Recovery.

Join us here:
https://fb.me/22Hyqus420lChSD

If you cannot make it on the night, I hope we continue our conversation in some other way.

Send me a message. I would love to share the library with you, help you access the book, or simply hear what you are navigating and how I may be able to support you.

This has not been an easy road.

But it has been a meaningful one.

And now, we launch.

19/08/2026

What do I know about love?

I bought into the same distortions many of us do.

That love is some magical feeling of ecstasy.

That when it is real, it is effortless.

That the right person will never hurt us, disappoint us, challenge us or require us to face the parts of ourselves we would rather avoid.

It is a complete lie.

Love is not simply a feeling.

Love is a practice.

It requires commitment.
Courage.
Responsibility.
Awareness.
Integrity.
Truth.
Compassion.
Understanding.
Acceptance.

And sometimes, love requires letting go.

Love is the practice of staying present.

It is the movement towards one another when everything within us wants to defend, withdraw, attack, control or run.

Love is revealed in how we respond when things become hard.

In our willingness to tell the truth.
To listen.
To take responsibility.
To understand the impact we have had.
To care about the pain that exists between us.
To come back and repair.

Over and over and over again.

Not to remain in relationships that are harmful.

Not to abandon ourselves in the name of staying connected.

But to remain committed to truth, care and the humanity of everyone involved—even when the relationship itself must end.

Because love understands something our defences do not:

What hurts you hurts me.

Your pain does not exist separately from who I am or how I have chosen to treat you.

When I can hurt you without allowing your pain to touch me, I am no longer practising love. I have entered separation.

This is where we justify.
Blame.
Deny.
Manipulate.
Control.
Punish.
Withdraw.

I win. You lose.

I protect myself, regardless of what it costs you.

I preserve my version of reality, even if I must destroy yours to do it.

But the truth is, everyone loses in the end.

Because there is no love without connection.

There is no connection without truth.

And there is no truth without the willingness to face what exists within us.

Our fear.
Our pain.
Our denial.
Our defences.
Our need to be right.
Our need to control.
Our resistance to seeing the impact we have had.

Love asks us to go directly into all of it.

To see it.
To feel it.
To stay present.
To take responsibility.
To choose differently.

Love is not the absence of rupture.

It is the willingness and capacity to repair.

To find our way back to truth.
Back to connection.
Back to one another.
Back to love.

That is what I have learned about love.

It is not a magical feeling that saves us from ourselves.

It is the practice that asks us to face ourselves.

The Only Way Out Is In

The only way out of suffering is in.

Into the shadows.
Into the darkness.
Into every resistance that lies within our conscious and unconscious mind and stands in the way of the very thing we say we want.

Because we can say we want love while resisting the vulnerability that love requires.

We can say we want freedom while remaining attached to the behaviours, relationships and ways of being that keep us trapped.

We can say we want change while unconsciously protecting ourselves from everything that change would ask us to face.

This is the conflict that exists within us.

A part of us wants to move forward, while another part is afraid to let go.

A part of us wants to be seen, while another part remains hidden.

A part of us longs for love, while another part continues to protect us from the possibility of being hurt.

A part of us wants the life we say we desire, while another part resists everything that would be required of us to create it.

These resistances do not disappear simply because we want something different.

They continue to shape our choices, our relationships and our lives until we become willing to turn towards them.

The only way out is to go in.

To face what we fear.
To feel what we have avoided.
To acknowledge what we have denied.
To meet the parts of ourselves we have pushed into the darkness.

Not so that we remain there, but so that what has been hidden can be brought into the light.

Because what remains unconscious continues to govern us.

It speaks through our reactions.
Our defences.
Our coping mechanisms.
Our relationships.
And the choices we continue to make but cannot always understand.

Until we bring awareness to what lies beneath them, we may believe we are choosing our lives when, in truth, we are being governed by fears, wounds and resistances we cannot yet see.

But only when the truth we have been hiding from is brought into the light—brought into awareness—can we finally see what has been holding us back from the very thing we say we want.

From here, we have choice.

What was unconscious becomes conscious.

What was automatic becomes visible.

What once controlled us from the shadows becomes something we can finally understand and choose differently from.

This is where choice becomes freedom.

No longer hidden in darkness.
No longer governed by the unconscious.
No longer hiding, avoiding or reacting to what we refuse to see.

What has been brought into awareness can no longer control us in the same way.

The truth can set us free.

Free from what has been governing us from the shadows.
Free to choose.

But the only way out of our suffering is to go directly into it.

Into the darkness.
Into the shadows.
Into the unconscious.
Into the pain.
Into the denial.
Into the coping.
Into the lies, the manipulation and the control.

Right into it.

See it.
Look at it.
Feel it.

Don’t run.

Stay present.

Choose love.

The only way out is in.

I Can’t Do This One Alone

This was me three years ago.

I have looked at this photograph many times and wondered whether I would ever share it.

Even now, I feel incredibly vulnerable doing so.

My body had reached a threshold it could no longer endure.

It began shutting down.

Very few people saw me like this.

Very few people knew the truth of what was happening inside my life.

I had learnt not to show my vulnerability.

I had learnt not to ask for help.

I had even learnt not to receive it.

I had learnt that needing people hurt.

I so I became strong and independent.

I made sure no one ever knew just how much I needed them.

My strength and independence became proof that I was capable. That I could survive anything life placed in front of me.

I was applauded by those who knew and loved me, and I was proud of who I was and all I had accomplished.

But my strength became my weakness.

It became the very thing that prevented anyone from seeing how deeply I needed care, support, love and understanding.

Survival taught me how to stand alone.

Recovery taught me that we thrive through healthy relationships.

That we need one another.

I did not walk this journey alone.

And now, I stand at the edge of another enormous moment in my life.

In 13 days, I will launch Finding Our Way Back to Love – A Journey of Recovery.

This book is not simply something I wrote.

It is the journey from where I have been to where I am now.

It is the journey from the woman in this photograph to the woman writing these words today.

My goal is for this book to become a number-one bestseller.

And it is not something I can achieve on my own.

So today, I am doing what I once did not know how to do.

I am allowing myself to be seen.

And I am asking for help.

I am saying, without pretending that I do not need anything from anyone:

I need you.

I would love for you to attend my online launch, support me and help make this dream a reality.

As my gift to you, the book will be available for 99 cents on launch night before returning to its regular price shortly afterwards.

Invite your friends.

Help place this book into the hands of those who need it.

For every person trying to find their way back to connection, truth and love.

Asking this of you is not separate from my recovery.

It is my RECOVERY.

It is me trusting that I can reach out and that you will reach back.

And, so I am asking, will you be there with me?

Please join me on August 30 at 7.00 pm, comment “I’ll be there” below, and I will send you the link to the live launch.

I am so excited to share this moment with you.

With all my love,

Wendy
