Motivate Kids

Motivate Kids Motivate Kids provides tailored OT for your child to be supported to unlock their greatest potential. We walk you through this process step-by-step.

At Motivate Kids we know the thing you want most right now is a clear plan of where your child is at, the journey to come and an idea of the destination. You too will learn along the way so that you can more confidently understand your child, their therapy plan and implement it too. You will gain clarity and have that feeling of “I’ve got this.”

You need someone who keeps everyone on the same

page so that home and school, or kindy / child care, pull together in a way to create a therapeutic life for your child. Nothing will be missed along the way. So imagine that feeling when you see your child succeed at things they’ve never done before. To see them happy and engaged and to see that their progress overflows out of therapy and into their daily lives. This is all held together by someone who specialises in “sensory integration” Occupational Therapy. Someone who is as passionate about your child as you are. Someone who will challenge them “just enough” to make progress that is worth celebrating. This someone has to be fun, uplifting and bursting with knowledge. It is important for you to feel heard, appreciated and empowered as you undertake this journey and to be surrounded by a community of like-minded people who have your back. These people have not walked in your shoes but they sure have had their own journey. We can learn from each other and realise, we are not alone. Its time to stop surviving and start thriving. Having stability in life to release the pressure is essential. At Motivate Kids we know exactly where you are at right now and how to help you and your child move forward. After all, “it’s about supporting children to live their best lives” – Motivate Kids

We're excited to share some wonderful news!

Motivate Kids has been awarded funding through the South Australian Government's Multi-Disciplinary Workforce Localised Capacity Building Grants program.

Over the next 18 months, we'll be leading an exciting collaboration with Speak Hear, Moving Kids Physio and Adelaide University to create a new way for future occupational therapists, speech pathologists and physiotherapists to learn together in early childhood education settings.

Why does that matter?

Because when allied health professionals learn to work together from the very beginning of their careers, children, families and educators benefit from more connected, collaborative support.

This project will focus on early childhood communities across Adelaide's northern suburbs, helping strengthen support today while investing in the workforce of tomorrow.

We're incredibly grateful to our partners and to the South Australian Government for making this opportunity possible.

We can't wait to share the journey with you.

Play is one of the most powerful ways children develop the skills they need for everyday life. Activities that combine movement with hands-on tasks can support so many important areas of development, including:
- Fine motor skills
- Hand strength
- Bilateral coordination
- Core strength and postural control
- Balance and body awareness
- Motor planning
- Focus and persistence

These skills lay the foundation for everyday activities like dressing, using school tools, participating in the classroom, and becoming more confident in play.

Every child develops at their own pace. If you have questions about your child's motor skills, we're here to help. Contact us to book an assessment.

Building stronger support for children, together.

We’re delighted to share a heartfelt testimonial from St Morris Community Child Care Centre about their experience partnering with our OTs through the Flying Start Preschool Boost Program.

It’s a privilege to work alongside educators and early learning teams, sharing knowledge, building confidence, and supporting the important work they do every day to help children thrive.

Are you a Flying Start approved centre or an early learning service looking for ways to support your team and families?

We've been working on something that goes right back to the beginning...

Some early movement patterns can stick around longer than expected and they may have more of an impact than you think.

We're excited to be introducing a brand-new assessment that helps us uncover the foundations of development, supporting children to flourish in everyday life.

Happy Parents Day to all the incredible parents and caregivers we have the privilege of working alongside.

As paediatric Occupational Therapists, we see every day the important role parents play in their child's development.

Progress doesn’t only happen in therapy sessions. It happens in the everyday moments like getting dressed in the morning, practising a new skill, trying something again after it feels challenging, celebrating small wins, and creating opportunities for children to feel capable and confident.

We see the dedication behind the scenes:
The parents who ask questions and seek understanding
The families who practise skills between sessions
The caregivers who celebrate every step forward, big or small

Thank you for inviting us into your child's journey and allowing us to partner with you along the way.

We have officially been named one of the top three finalists in the 2026 HESTA Excellence Awards for Team Excellence in Allied Health.

This national recognition celebrates the work our team does every day across our studios, early learning centres, schools and homes, supporting children, families and educators.

What makes this so special is that it belongs to every single person at Motivate Kids.

From our therapists and clinical leaders, to our office team and those working behind the scenes to grow our services, resources and impact, every role has helped shape who we are today.

Together, we have built something really special, and to have that recognised on a national stage is something we are incredibly proud of.
