We are so lucky to have these around the district at the moment. They are so gorgeous.

A quick tip -

When you’re reading with little ones, try commenting more and quizzing less.

Instead of lots of “What’s that?” questions, try things like:

🐶 “The dog is running!”
🚒 “The fire truck is big!”
🩹 “Uh oh, he fell over!”

Have fun with it and remove the expectation to read every word and look at every page! Chat about the pictures, make silly sounds and have a giggle together 🌸🎀

A quick update of our last couple of weeks!!! Winter is certainly here 🥶❄️

It was such a pleasure to speak with the wonderful School of the Air govies last week!!! We went through some handy tips for the school room & what goals a speechie & OT can work on 🤩

So lovely to catch up with a few familiar faces & meet some new govies too! Thank you for having me 🩷

Brookie has been busy, chatting to new families and booking them in with Speechie Eliza (who is doing a wonderful job in her new role!!) 🎀

We are looking for a Speech Pathologist who understands and is passionate about providing services to rural & remote families 🌸

Blossom Rural came from the idea of supporting kids in my local Broken Hill/Far West region. Being in rural NSW, accessing consistent speech & OT services can be a challenge. Especially for families living remotely.

Our team of Speechies & OTs live all across Australia. We catch up most days on ZOOM and are always chatting via our team message app.

We now provide services to rural kids across Australia, via Telehealth.

We love what we do & we truly care about the families we get to meet and support, along the way!
