Today, our Byron Community Carers & Responders (CCR) participants will complete their final step — First Aid training with Pacific Coast First Aid, our fantastic local provider. We’re so proud of this group and the energy they’ve brought to the program.

If you’d like to join the CCR community, we have FREE training coming up in Grafton and Murwillumbah in February 2026, plus a special program for the Mullumbimby Shedding community in February/March. Kyogle dates are on the way, and we’ll have several more opportunities available right through to June 2026.

This week is Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia Food Allergy Week 🩷 - an opportunity to raise awareness on improving safety for those living with food allergies. 🥜

Australia has one of the highest rates of food allergies in the world, affecting almost 2 million Australians. We also have one of the highest rates of hospital anaphylaxis admissions in the world, which over the last 5 years, has increased to more than 11,500 per year. 👎🏽

This week is Heart Foundation National Heart Week ❤

DId you know one person living in Australia has a heart attack or stroke every four minutes? Knowing your risk is the first
step to a healthier heart. Why not book in for a quick heart check with your GP this week? 🫀🩺

Also don't forget to renew your CPR training. We offer regular classes (2 hours), or you can even study online (1.5 hours) followed by a short (30 minute) practical assessment. 🙌🏽
