Great to be on the show with you again, Joe - really appreciate the ongoing support and the opportunity to share what we have been working on.
It was great to talk about our new ILO housing options on 323 Draper Street and what they mean for giving participants more choice and independence in their daily lives. Also really proud of the launch of the Himalayan Organisation for Multicultural Communities Inc. (HOMC) — lots of exciting work ahead to strengthen community connection through culture and shared experiences.
And the Unity Cup on July 18 at Endeavour Park is shaping up to be a fantastic day for Cairns’ 150-year celebrations — looking forward to seeing everyone there.
Also had a good laugh about DJ Jesse and the doll’s hair — Jess will be happy to know her hairdressing skills are now officially community famous 😄
Thanks again, Joe, for having us on.
Great to have Saroj and Jess from Himalayan Community Care Services back on the show this week.
Since the last time they joined us, a lot has been happening. We spoke about their new ILO housing options on Draper Street and what that means for participants looking for more choice in how they live day to day.
We also got into their newly launched organisation, Himalayan Organisation for Multicultural Communities Inc., HOMC (HOMC), which is all about building stronger connections across the wider community through culture, events and shared experiences.
And one to keep an eye on, the Unity Cup is coming up on July 18 at Endeavour Park. A full day of football, culture and community as part of Cairns’ 150 year celebrations.
Plenty of good things happening. Thanks again for coming in, and DJ Jesse made sure to thank Jess again for plaiting his doll's hair 🙌
