Why we love to get our Makedo kits out!

Complexity is a barrier to creativity.

When we hand a child a pre-designed, battery-operated object, we limit their potential to only what that object was made to do. But when we place them in a space where they have to create their own experience—using nothing but what they find—the brain enters a different state.

It’s not just play. It’s an exercise in invention.

A box is never just a box. It’s a vessel for a story that the child, not the manufacturer, gets to write. That kind of agency is the bedrock of deep learning.

Beginner Climbing Opportunity

Hey guys! 🧗‍♀️

Our Speech Therapist, Felicity, is undergoing her climbing guide assessment today and we’d love a few people to come along for a practice session- it’s also a great way for beginners to get started!

Date: Friday 5 June (today)
Time: 1:00–2:30pm
Location: The Northern Outlook climbing gym

If you’re keen to support but not climb you can learn the ropes under our instructors guidance and keep climbers safe. No charge if you’re not climbing!

Cost: $15 for the session (this is just for the venue hire)
