While Sinuhe’s rhythmic entrainment carried people into deep meditative states 🪘🥁

I worked within the energetic field, supporting the release of stagnant patterns, calming the nervous system, and opening up the channels for deeper connection, insight, and healing ✨

As the journey unfolded, we gradually moved into harmonic soundscapes, allowing the system to reorganise, rebalance, and gently integrate after travelling deep within.

It was a beautiful afternoon of rhythm, sound, presence, and transformation.

Wielding this kind of energetic power comes with a profound spiritual responsibility.

"Force can bring about conformity, but only power can bring about transformation."

In Power vs. Force by Dr. David Hawkins, there is a profound distinction made between these two energies.

Force always creates a counter-force; it requires effort, strains, and eventually exhausts itself.
Power, on the other hand, moves nothing, yet stands completely still and alters everything.

Power originates from the heart, operating through grace, compassion, and gentleness.

I am deeply humbled by these beautiful words. To guide a soul back into their natural alignment—where force ends and true power begins—is a great honour of my life. 🙏✨

As I walked across this sea of yellow autumn colours I was mesmerised!

I asked ChatGpt to write a poem about my picture… not bad Chat!

🍁 The last days of autumn
and the earth is covered in gold.

Leaves scattered like fragments of sunlight,
soft beneath my feet,
returning quietly
to the ground that carried them.

The trees do not cling
to what is already leaving.

They release with grace,
without sorrow,
without trying to hold
one more season than they were meant to.

And perhaps there is wisdom in this.

To let ourselves empty
when it is time.
To trust the turning.
To understand that even in falling,
there is beauty.

We were lucky enough to attend the Canberra Symphony Orchestra the last two evenings taking inspiration from their program ‘Sea and Stars’ in the 2026 Llewelyn Series.

Underpinned by the theme of Life Force from the poem ‘Stream of Life’:

‘It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean - cradle of birth and of death, in ebb and in flow’

~ Rabindranath Tagore

Debussy’s ‘La Mer’ captures that sense of ebb and flow, the constant flux of the sea. Debussy conceived the work as a set of three musical sketches - musical pictures.

The fundamental principles of working with frequency and sound healing begin with dissonance and resonance, terms drawn from music yet deeply relevant to the body.

💫 Dissonance reflects states of tension, fragmentation, or incoherence within the system.

💫 Resonance speaks to harmony, alignment, and natural order.

In sound therapy, we are not forcing change, but listening for where these states exist and how they relate.

Through sympathetic resonance, when the body encounters an external source such as sound, frequency, or coherent energy patterns, it begins to reorganise itself 🦋

The body recognises order. It entrains to it.
What is held in tension can gradually soften.
What is disordered can find its way back towards coherence.

A remembering of the body’s innate intelligence to orient towards harmony, when the right conditions are present.

Preparing Trance Drumming Rhythms with Sinuhe Pregnan - Pacheco
for Sunday 31st May - Sound Healing Journey.

Through shifting rhythmic patterns, odd meters, and the interplay of loud and soft dynamics, we will guide the nervous system from mid-theta brainwave states into deeper theta rhythms.

Working with grooves moving between 5/8 and 5/4, the body begins to entrain to the pulse.

Both rhythms are related structurally, but the subdivision changes the nervous system’s perception of time.

* 5/8 tends to feel more driving, circular, and activating
* 5/4 tends to feel broader, deeper, and more spacious

That is often where the meditative quality begins to emerge. Awareness becomes more spacious, immersive, and intuitive.

Trance drumming traditions have long been used to support altered states of consciousness, meditation, insight, and deep internal listening.

Theta brainwave states are often associated with:

• deep relaxation
• meditative awareness
• heightened imagery and intuition
• creativity and emotional processing
• access to subconscious material
• nervous system regulation

An immersive afternoon of rhythm, vibration, sound, and inner journeying.

The Colour of Sound

A joy to facilitate the collaboration between Canberra Symphony Orchestra and Painting with Parkinsons.

This morning we were fortunate to have the deep resonance of the double bass inspire our mark making on the page.

Participants were invited to listen closely to the music and respond through movement, rhythm, cadence, flow, emotion, and imagery —allowing sound to become a creative prompt for brush and colour.

Rather than painting an object or image, the invitation was to translate sensation, vibration, and musical expression directly onto the page.
