The biggest worry people have about moving into a retirement village is losing their independence.

A national survey of 2,451 residents, run by the NSW Retirement Village Residents Association, found the opposite. Ninety-one percent said village life helped them stay independent for longer, thanks to community, safety and fewer maintenance responsibilities.

It's a good vantage point to see just how far things have come.

Framing is going up steadily, and the team has just completed their first pre-sheet inspection, with kitchens following shortly. Down at the Health Hub, the same momentum is showing.

Everything remains on track for a moving date of December 2027.

All four buildings are above ground. Around 20% of apartments secured. A site that's starting to look like the village it will become.

December 2027 is closer than it sounds.
