A new episode of the Imagine More podcast is now available! 🎧✨

In this week's episode, Helen Neale makes the case that a micro enterprise isn’t just employment – it’s one of our most powerful safeguards for people with disability.

Drawing on her experience as Tom’s mother – whose lawn business, Ground Control by Major Tom, has run for seven and a half years – Helen explains why micro enterprise works and why it's worth exploring.

Like all of us, people with disability need support to make decisions at various times.

How can we ensure that we, as decision-supporters, are supporting the person well?

Do we recognise when we're unintentionally exerting our influence on the person?

Do we always allow the person enough time, space, and information when they are making day-to-day or significant decisions?

It can take skill and practice to become an effective decision-supporter.

In this free four-part online workshop, Dr Michelle Browning will show you how.

The first session is on Tuesday, 25 August, from 10:00 am until 12 midday.

P.S. This workshop will not be recorded, and there will not be a replay. The only way to participate is to attend each session. We hope to see you there!

A new episode of the Imagine More podcast is now available! 🎧✨

In this episode, Kim Roots discusses supporting people with disability in making challenging, complex, or potentially life-altering decisions, including in circumstances where the decision supporter may not agree with the decision.

The ability to make more informed decisions, and to have them heard, valued, and supported by others, can lead people to seek out trusted supporters sooner, opening doors to greater autonomy and confidence. πŸŒˆπŸ”—
