Happy Dots is a Paediatric Occupational Therapy service for children of varying ages and conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other developmental conditions. We also specialise in assisting with handwriting difficulties and behavioural/attention problems.

Sometimes, rest is exactly what we need.

We live in a world that often encourages us to keep going, keep achieving and keep busy. But rest isn’t giving up, and it certainly isn’t being lazy. It’s an important part of looking after ourselves and recharging for what comes next. 🌿✨

Whether it’s a quiet moment, some time outdoors, a favourite activity, or simply doing nothing for a while — give yourself permission to rest without guilt. 💕

And remember, children need rest too. Learning to recognise when our bodies and minds need a break is an important part of developing self-awareness and wellbeing.

Learn to rest, not quit. 💛

Participation means more than just being present. It means being able to join in, contribute, and feel like you matter—in the classroom, at the doctor's office, on the sporting field, and in your community.

Our speech pathologists at Happy Dots help children develop the communication skills they need to fully participate across all areas of life. Because when a child can communicate, they don't just watch from the sidelines. They take part. 🙌
