Perth paediatric cardiologist Dr Darshan Kothari has opened Perth’s first dedicated child and adolescent POTS clinic. 🎉

We’ve known Darshan for 13 years - ever since our first foetal echo at King Eddies when I was 22-weeks pregnant with our eldest child.

He’s seen me cry more times than I can count and has always been incredibly kind and supportive of our family.

He mentioned this clinic when we were in for a review in January. He said he’d had so many families reach out for help with POTS who were experiencing HUGE impacts on their child’s quality of life.

He wanted to create a special multi disciplinary clinic to help kids and teens earlier. So I made him promise to let me know when he was ready to launch 🚀 and he just messaged me to say it’s ON!

💛 Rapid heart rate and heart palpitations

💛 Exercise intolerance

💛 Brain fog, nausea, anxiety related to symptoms

National Walk Safely to School Day & Thank a Traffic Warden Day – Friday 22 May 2026
Families and students are invited to join us for National Walk Safely to School Day on Friday 22 May 2026.
Students and families can meet at one of the following locations at 8:00am and walk to school together:
• Kate Street Reserve
• Duncan Street Reserve
• Oats Street Station
This year, the day also coincides with Thank a Traffic Warden Day. We encourage our community to take the opportunity to thank Susan at the Mint Street crossing for the important role she plays in helping our students and families get to and from school safely each day.
Thank you to our P&C for providing coordinators at each meeting point and supporting this wonderful community event.
Our school is officially registered for the event, and students will be able to collect a tattoo when they arrive at school.

Reds Reach & Perth Reds Volleyball Association are excited to offer the community a 5 week series of free inclusive volleyball sessions in June & July for athletes of all-abilities, including participants with a physical, sensory or intellectual disability.

The All-Abilities Indoor Volleyball Program is a fun and engaging adaptive volleyball program targeted at athletes with an intellectual, sensory or physical disability. The All abilities program is adapted to meet the needs of participants, some adaptations can include a lower net height; serve from closer/movement with ball; adjustment of equipment – use of soft, light balls, balloons or beach balls; skill development through game play and game like activities for fun and engagement; allowing the ball to be caught, bounce or self-thrown to complete skills; extra demonstration including extra verbal and physical cues and support persons are able to participate or assist in the session.

Dates: Saturday 6th June to Saturday 4th July 2026.
Times: From 2:30pm
Cost: Free
Venue: Aquinas College: BR Paull Centre, Salter Point.
