CT scans, explained π©»
When your doctor needs a closer look, a CT scan can show fine detail that an ordinary X-ray can't. Here's what to expect at Castle Hill Diagnostics:
β’ A CT (computed tomography) scan takes detailed, cross-sectional images of the body β helping your doctor see organs, bones, blood vessels and soft tissue clearly
β’ It's painless, and most scans take around 10β15 minutes
β’ A specialist radiologist reviews your images and reports to your doctor, usually by the next working day
β’ All Medicare-eligible CT examinations are bulk billed
The CT scanner used at Castle Hill Diagnostics uses the latest technology delivering ultra low-dose imaging.
If your GP or specialist has mentioned a CT scan, ask them whether it's right for you β and whether it can be done at Castle Hill Diagnostics. We accept all request forms.
