Did you spot our Audiologist, Sophie in The Monaro Post this week? 👀

Sophie recently travelled to Sydney’s Cochlear HQ to undertake training on the new Osia 3 (i) bone conduction implant. These implants are a great solution for patients who may not be able to gain sufficient benefit with a normal hearing aid.

Sophie has many years of experience with bone conduction implants, having previously been the BAHA clinical lead at Frimley Park Hospital in the UK from 2010-2013! 🇬🇧

Our Audiologist, Sophie, has spent the last two days in Sydney taking part in a Cochlear bone conduction implant course. What an amazing opportunity to visit Cochlear HQ and learn more about the latest developments in bone conduction technology!

Sophie learnt about the new Osia 3(I) bone conduction implant, an exciting development in hearing technology.

We’re excited to put this new knowledge into practice and look forward to helping more people explore bone conduction hearing solutions in the future👂

Sophie is proud to call Cooma home. As a local, she understands the importance of having access to quality hearing care close to home.

Sophie qualified as an Audiologist in the UK in 2010 and has 16 years of experience, including 8 years working in the UK and 8 years in Australia. She has worked in large UK hospitals and in independent audiology practice in Canberra before opening her own clinic right here in Cooma in 2025.
