Today we visited HARC Health, owned by my lovely Audiology mentor from 18 years ago! Sean was my mentor when I was a Student Audiologist back in 2008 at Coventry Hospital.

Things have come full circle with us now both running our own Audiology clinics on opposite sides of the world πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

So good to see Sean and enjoy a cuppa together! β˜•οΈ

What a fantastic morning filled with great conversation, interesting questions and so many wonderful stories shared.

It was a pleasure to meet everyone and chat about hearing health, hearing loss and the importance of looking after our hearing.

And thank you for the lovely lunch at the Cooma RSL and for the warm hospitality. It was very much appreciated! 😊

Supporting local organisations is really important to us, and we love being able to support this wonderful club.
We’re very proud to be a part of the CGC family!

A huge thank you to our supporting sponsor Cooma Hearing! πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ’™πŸ‘‚

Cooma Hearing is a locally owned, independent audiology clinic providing professional and personalised hearing care right here in the Snowy Monaro. Led by local audiologist Sophie Robinson, the clinic offers a full range of services including hearing assessments, paediatric hearing tests, tinnitus assessments, hearing aid fittings, industrial hearing tests, and microsuction ear wax removal.

We are incredibly grateful for their support of our club. Sponsorships like this help us continue providing opportunities for local children to participate in gymnastics, build confidence, and thrive in a positive environment. πŸ’™

Thank you again to Cooma Hearing for backing grassroots sport in our region! πŸ‘

🚨 Important Notice for Hearing Aid & Cochlear Implant Users🚨

If you wear Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids or cochlear implants this is something you'll want to know.

On Monday, 27 July 2026 the Australian Government will conduct a nationwide test of the new AusAlert emergency warning system

πŸ•‘ Time:2:00 pm AEST (please check your local time if you're in a different Australian time zone).

During the test, compatible mobile phones will play a 10-second emergency alert siren If your hearing devices are connected to your phone via Bluetooth, the alert may stream directly into your hearing aids or cochlear implant processor, which could be unexpectedly loud or startling.

To avoid being caught by surprise, you may wish to:
πŸ”Ή Turn off Bluetooth on your phone around 10 minutes before the test so the alert plays through your phone's speaker instead.
πŸ”Ή If preferred, briefly remove your hearing aid(s) or cochlear implant processor just before the scheduled test time.

We're sharing this information so our hearing health community has plenty of notice and can prepare if needed.

Please consider sharing this post with anyone you know who uses Bluetooth-connected hearing devices. πŸ’™

πŸŽ‰ We are so proud to be a sponsor of 2MNO - Monaro Community Radio! πŸ“»πŸŽ™οΈ

As a locally owned and operated business, we're passionate about helping people in our community and supporting local organisations that make the Monaro such a great place to live. We're also regular listeners of 2MNO Monaro FM, so it's a pleasure to support a station that keeps our community connected.

2MNO Monaro FM has been broadcasting since 1996, providing local news, current affairs and a fantastic variety of music to listeners across the Monaro and Snowy Mountains. Run entirely by dedicated volunteers, the station is a registered charity and an important part of our local community.

We encourage everyone to tune in and support this wonderful local community radio station! πŸŽ™οΈ

You may have spotted our Audiologist, Sophie Robinson, in the Monaro Post this week! πŸ‘€

Sophie recently travelled to remote East Gippsland, Victoria, as part of an initiative run by Orbost Regional Health and the Gippsland Primary Health Network.

Over two days, Sophie provided hearing tests for local residents and offered advice on ear and hearing healthπŸ‘‚

It was a wonderful few days exploring a beautiful part of the country and meeting so many members of the local community.

A big thank you to Orbost Regional Health and Gippsland Primary Health Network for the opportunity to be involved in such a worthwhile initiative and to help improve access to hearing care in remote communities.

We look forward to our next adventure! ⛰️
