📢 Important update: Bulk billing consent has changed

The Australian Government has updated how patients provide consent for bulk billing. This makes the billing process clearer and ensures your Medicare benefit is assigned only with your permission.

From 1 July 2026, you may receive an SMS, email or push notification from HotDoc asking you to consent to Medicare bulk billing.
Please remember:

Consent requests are now mostly digital.
A request may be sent before or after your appointment.
You may receive another request if you have not responded or if the billing details change.
You maybe required to pay if consent is refused.

Genuine messages will be sent from “HotDoc” by SMS or from [email protected] by email.

Influenza is serious. Getting a flu vaccine is quick, easy and recommended for everyone aged 6 months and over. Your yearly flu vaccine offers the best protection from getting really sick and is free for:
- children aged 6 months to under 5 years
- pregnant women
- Aboriginal people aged 6 months and over
- anyone aged 65+
- people with serious health conditions.
