🏉🏆 MERTON COURT NRL FOOTY TIPPING COMPETITION – RESULTS ARE IN! 🏆🏉

After a season of friendly rivalry, plenty of careful calculations (and probably a few lucky guesses! 😂), our Merton Court NRL Footy Tipping Competition has officially wrapped up!

🥇 1st Place – Ray Brind – 134 points 🏆
Congratulations Ray, our 2026 Footy Tipping Champion! 🎉

🥈 2nd Place – Ian Gill & Allan Hoffman – 133 points
Just ONE point behind the winner – it doesn't get much closer than that!

🥉 3rd Place – Bailey Hassett – 131 points

And of course, every competition needs a Wooden Spoon winner... 🥄😂

🎉 Father’s Day at Merton Court 🎉

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful fathers, stepfathers, uncles, grandfathers, pops, and all the other special men in our lives. 💙

Today, we celebrated with the most delicious homemade sweet treats, lovingly made by our amazing volunteers. 🍰🧁

There were brain games and colouring activities to keep our minds active, plenty of laughs, and most importantly, quality time spent with family, friends, and each other.

A beautiful day celebrating all the special men who mean so much to us. 💙

Our favourite time of the month has been and gone again!

This month we headed to Singleton Diggers, where we enjoyed a lovely meal, the service was amazing & the staff were great too 👏

We are so lucky to have such an amazing bunch of people who join us each month.
They are always patient when things don’t quite go to plan, always appreciative of the days we organise, and most importantly, they come along ready for a catch up & a nice day out.

It’s this wonderful group of people that makes our Merton Munch Bunch outings so enjoyable and makes organising them so easy and worthwhile.

We are always welcoming new faces & love when people come to join us!
Next month we are off to Scone

A big thank you to Mike from Hunter Valley Heating for generously sponsoring Merton Court so our residents could enjoy a special ice cream treat for afternoon tea! 🍨

The weather finally played nice, so we were able to sit outside, hear the familiar music of the ice cream van as it arrived, and watch the world go by while enjoying our ice cream cones. ☀️🍦

Such a simple afternoon but one we always enjoy, the ice creams from the ice cream truck are amazing!! ✨

Today we brought the Sunday Chill Vibes to our residents, complete with plenty of nibbles, beverages, laughs, a few good yarns and some great music.
It was wonderful seeing everyone enjoying themselves.

Together, we spent some time colouring in beautiful butterflies, dogs and flowers for the students to take back with them

We always love having our St Joseph’s friends visit — lots of smiles, creativity and special moments shared across the generations. 💛
