Tell me your plant memory.
Most of us have one. A grandparent's garden. The smell of tomato leaves on a hot afternoon. Blackberries gathered from a country roadside. A remedy someone made for you when you were sick.
For me its lemon verbena growing by the back door, my grandmother would pick it every day and rub it between her fingers and pop it in her pocket filling the air with the delicious lemon scent that stayed with her all day.
These things stay with us because plants carry stories. Knowledge about food and medicine was once passed neighbour to neighbour, gardener to gardener, generation to generation. Something about that thread feels worth holding onto.
That's what *In The Weeds* is about.
It's where I share what I'm learning as I build a small herb farm in North East Victoria. Seasonal observations, practical growing advice, lessons from the field, and reflections on the relationship between people and plants.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, I'd love to have you along.
New subscribers receive a Herb Growing Guide drawn from years of growing, teaching, blending herbs, and conversations with growers, gardeners and herbalists. Knowledge from the ground, not the internet.
