We run regular public courses on the 1st and 2nd Tuesday of every month at Gawler - Riverside Salvos and Freeling Institute.

Courses available include:
✅ CPR
✅ LVR
✅ Education & Care
✅ Provide First Aid (PFA)

Our public courses do tend to book quickly, so if first aid has been sitting on your “I really should do that” list, now’s a good time 😊

We think we accidentally made our **Animal First Aid Kit competition** a bit too confusing 🙈

So we’re making it SUPER simple:

**LITTLE LIFESAVERS IS BACK THESE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS!**

A fun, hands-on workshop where kids learn practical first aid skills, build confidence and know what to do when something goes wrong.

Kids will explore:
• CPR basics
• Bandaging skills
• How to call for help even when reading is hard
• What to do in an emergency
• Cool safety apps

and you can't forget the mandatory goody bag

📍 Freeling
📅 Tuesday 14 July
⏰ 12:30pm start (approx. 1 hour)
💲 Only $20 per child

Run by local first aid trainers in a relaxed, inclusive environment. We proudly support children of all abilities and are part of the Autism Charter.

VOLUNTEER WEEK

Most volunteers don’t do it for recognition.

They just show up, help out, and get on with it.

And without volunteers — and that Aussie spirit of pitching in when it matters — Australia would grind to a halt.

Volunteers save lives in little ways and big ways every single day. From school communities, sporting clubs and local groups to emergency responders, and even everyday bystanders lending a hand when someone needs it.

This Volunteer Week, just a quiet thank you to everyone who gives their time, skills, and energy to help others and keep communities going.

🐾 COMPETITION TIME 🐾

We’re giving away an Animal First Aid Kit valued at $46.75 RRP 👇

Because first aid isn't just for humans

To enter:
🐶 Comment your pet’s name (or a nick name) + their most chaotic injury moment

That’s it.

(Photos are welcome because we all want to see the little chaos gremlins 😅)

Examples:
🐱 “Tried to parkour off the roof.”
🐶 “Ate a bee and regretted it immediately.”
🐴 “Picked a fight with a fence.”

🎁 Winner will be chosen randomly using a computer spin wheel from all entries.

While training is our main focus, we also carry a small range of first aid kits and supplies for different needs.

MOTORBIKE FIRST AIDER PATCHES ARE HERE! 🏍️

We couldn’t pick one… so both made the cut.

After way too many discussions (arguments 😂), our new Motorbike First Aider patches are finally here — with riders able to choose between:

🏔️ Adventure Bike Edition
🛣️ Cruiser Edition

And before anyone asks… yes, the sports bike version is coming eventually… once we win the Lotto to purchase it😅

These patches are not for sale.

They’re earned by riders who complete our Motorcycle First Aid training.

Because this isn’t about merch.
It’s about riders being prepared to help when things go wrong.

Still not great at remembering to take photos (or taking good ones 😅) but managed to grab a few from different sessions.

Always good to see people getting hands-on, building confidence, and having a go — that’s what it’s all about.
