There have been reports circulating in the media recently talking about sales targets and KPI's in the Optometry industry. We'd like to take a moment to share our company values - something we hold at the forefront in all that we do.

At Abernethy Owens, our most important value is improving quality of life for our patients - in short, it's why we do what we do! Your eyesight, eye health and eye care are our main priority and sales targets will never get in the way of that.

Improving your quality of life involves integrity and empathy on our part, and selling patients a product or service they do not need is neither honest nor caring. That's why we will continue to put our patients needs first in every situation.

As primary caregivers, our Optometrists and Optical Dispensers are committed to giving the best care possible. We're here for you, whenever and for whatever you need - whether that's a new pair of glasses, a referral to a specialist or just some reassurance.

As an independent, West Australian owned and operated business, Abernethy Owens is committed to helping our patients, young and old and everyone in between. We are equipped to check your vision, diagnose and treat your sore eye, detect eye disease, help choose and order new glasses, fit contact lenses, treat dry eye, and solve any other eye problem we come across. We do this by putting our patients, and not sales targets, first - how it should be.

For 100 years now, Abernethy Owens has been servicing our local communities and building trust with our patients, something we hope to continue for another 100!

Ben is the newest addition to our Optometry team. He is a UWA graduate and a with a family history of vision loss, caring for the eye health of the community is not just a job, it's a passion.
