Diabetes is NOT caused by eating too much sugar.

Type 2 diabetes develops when the body becomes less responsive to insulin, or can't produce enough to regulate blood sugar effectively. Sugar alone doesn't cause that.

Genetics, overall diet, physical activity, body weight, and even irregular meal patterns can all influence your risk.

Did you know you can eat the kiwi skin? Increases the nutrition and makes them a portable snack!πŸ’—

Did you know? 🧐

Just one medium green kiwi can provide more than 100% of an adult's daily vitamin C needs, making it one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C around.

But that's not all. Kiwi also:
πŸ₯ Supports gut health and digestion
πŸ₯ Is rich in fibre
πŸ₯ Helps with iron absorption
πŸ₯ Supports healthy skin
πŸ₯ May support better sleep

What's your favourite way to enjoy kiwi?

Your gut does a lot more than digest your dinner.
It plays a role in your immune system, your mood, your inflammation levels, and increasingly, how well you age.
Research into longevity keeps reinforcing the same theme: people who age well tend to have a more diverse, balanced gut microbiome. It's linked to lower inflammation, better nutrient absorption and even more stable energy and mood as the years go on.
The reassuring part is that your gut is genuinely responsive, you can act now. Variety in fibre (choose the unusual veg!), fermented foods, and reducing the things that disrupt your microbiome can alter things, often more than people expect.
Gut health isn't just about easing bloating or discomfort. It's quietly shaping how you'll feel in ten, twenty, thirty years.

What's one gut-friendly food you always make sure is in your kitchen?
Share it below, I'm always looking for new ideas too.

GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Wegovy have changed a lot for a lot of people. But even with the medication doing its job, some things can still show up that catch people off guard.
Fatigue that doesn't quite lift. Muscle weakness that you haven't noticed before.
These doesn't mean the medication isn't working. They're often signs your body needs more support around it, particularly when it comes to protein a nutrient that's easy to under-eat when appetite is this suppressed.
Medication can be one part of the picture. Nutrition support is often the part that gets missed.
