The damage to the tissue has healed but you aren’t confident enough to move again. 🧠

As a chiropractor, one thing I discuss with patients is that even after tissues have fully healed, range of motion is back to normal, and pain has settled… some people can still feel fearful of certain movements or activities. This is called kinesiophobia.

Sometimes the body has healed from the injury, but confidence in movement hasn’t caught up yet.

One tool chiropractors may use to help with this is graded exposure which is gradually reintroducing movements, exercises, or activities in a safe and controlled way to help rebuild trust in the body again. 💪

Are you struggling to achieve your health goals? 🤔

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make with their health is setting goals that are too vague.

“I just want to feel better” sounds like a good goal… but how will you actually know when you’ve achieved it?

Instead, try setting goals that are specific and measurable.

For example:
✔️ Walking for 60 minutes without lower back pain
✔️ Sleeping 8 hours without neck pain waking you up
✔️ Returning to the gym consistently
✔️ Being able to work comfortably throughout the day
✔️ Playing sport again without fear of flare-ups

When your goals are clear, your progress becomes clearer too.

It also gives you a real finish line to work towards, rather than guessing whether things are improving.

A question I often encourage patients to ask themselves is:
“What will be different in my life when I achieve my health goals?”

Because health goals shouldn’t just be about pain…
They should be about getting back to doing the things that matter most to you.
