✨ Welcome to the team, Abbey! ✨

We’re excited to officially welcome Abbey Macdonald to Function Focus Allied Health as our newest Occupational Therapist!

Abbey is a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist dedicated to supporting individuals across the lifespan, with a strong focus on helping children and families thrive in their everyday lives. Abbey brings a warm, collaborative, and client-centred approach to therapy, and will be a welcomed addition to the team and Geelong community.

Abbey has a special interest in:
🌿 Emotional regulation
🌿 Sensory processing
🌿 Early childhood development

She is committed to providing individualised support tailored to each person’s strengths and needs, while working closely with caregivers, educators, and support teams to build confidence, independence, and participation in meaningful daily activities.

Abbey values building strong therapeutic relationships and creating a safe, positive environment where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered.

Outside of work, Abbey enjoys spending time at the beach, staying active, engaging in creative activities, and spending quality time with friends and family ☀️

We’re so excited to have Abbey join the Function Focus team and can’t wait for everyone to meet her!

Lest we forget 🌺

Today was a special one, marching in the ANZAC Day parade alongside my three kids, representing Grovedale CFA. A proud moment to stand together, reflect, and honour those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Grateful for the opportunity to share this experience with the next generation, teaching them the importance of community, respect, and remembrance.

Big news for Function Focus Allied Health 👏👏🎉🎉

We are incredibly proud to share that we are now a NDIS Registered Provider.

This is a really important step for us as a team. It reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based services to the people and families we support every day.

Becoming registered means we’ve met strict national standards around quality, safety, and accountability, which is something that has always been at the core of how we work.

Most importantly, it allows us to continue supporting our community with confidence, consistency, and care, ensuring participants receive the level of service they deserve.

We’re excited for what this means moving forward and grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way. We also are thrilled to be bringing more exciting news in the near future… watch this space 😬😬
