You don’t have to be the loudest person in the room to belong.
But you do have to participate.
You do have to give yourself permission to be seen.
Community doesn’t magically happen around you.
It’s built in the little moments.
Saying hello.
Asking someone how their day is.
Laughing between sets.
Sharing that something feels hard today.
Most of the women who walk into the gym feel nervous at first.
They think everyone else already knows each other.
They think they’re the only one feeling awkward.
But the truth?
Everyone is just waiting for someone to break the ice.
If you want connection, sometimes you have to be the one who takes the first small step.
And usually… the person next to you is hoping you will.
We can get caught in our own heads. Thinking we don’t belong.
Feeling like we’ve got nothing to offer. Running the story that ‘we struggle making friends.’
But it’s all a story. The more we open, the more we receive. Sometimes we miss bids for connection because we’re too busy hiding behind our walls thinking something is wrong with us.
