Knock me over with a feather!

After finally being able to sit back down and get back in some writing mode and a swift shift in plans, this little beauty was waiting when I stood up.

Interestingly enough, it was not there when I sat down. I could very easily start looking for all the logical aspects, but instead of fighting it, I just accepted it.

A subtle but powerful message that I’m on the path. Thank you and hope you are all on the loo out for your own signs.

We spend so much time thinking that growth means we need to “do the work” on ourselves. That there’s something we need to figure out, work through or somehow get right.

But I loved where Nick Demos took this conversation — what if we approached it with a little more play and curiosity instead?

It’s something we spoke about in relation to The Inspirational Soul Summit and the kind of experience we want to create there. Sometimes we can build things up so much in our heads that we forget we don’t actually need to know what’s going to happen or what we’re going to get from it.

We can just turn up, be open to the experience, be willing to play, connect and allow ourselves to discover whatever it is we need to discover along the way.

There was something Nick Demos said during our conversation that I think a lot of us can relate to — this idea that if something is going to be meaningful, somehow it has to be hard.

We can become so focused on what we need to learn, work through or overcome that sometimes we forget there can be joy in the process too.

And I love the question Nick has started asking himself instead - what can I find joyous in this moment?

That really speaks to so much of what we want to create at the Inspirational Soul Summit. Yes, there will be moments of discovery and reflection, but there will also be connection, laughter, play and joy.

Because maybe growth doesn’t always have to feel like hard work.
