Not every child struggles the same way…
Some explode 🤯
Some shut down 😔
Some stay silent 🫩
Some carry anxiety so heavy it affects every part of their day.
Some are battling bullying.
Some are fighting feelings they don’t even understand yet.

That’s why we created programs that meet young people where they are at. 🤍

🧠✨ PSYCHOSOCIAL HOT TIP ✨🧠

When our mental health isn't doing so well, personal care and hygiene are often some of the first things to slip.

Most people know to look for signs like a messy house, missed appointments, or not showering. But here's a different tip...

🪒 Shave your legs.

Yep, sounds a little strange, but hear us out.

If shaving your legs is something you normally do when you're feeling well, it can become a simple wellbeing marker for both you and your supports.

💚 It helps identify when things may not be okay.
💚 It can show that you're not just having an "off day" but may have been struggling for a while.
💚 It gives supports a rough timeframe of how long your mental health may have been impacted.
💚 It opens the door for conversations about wellbeing without judgment.

This isn't really about shaving your legs.

It's about recognising the small changes in our routines that can tell us when we need extra support, compassion, and understanding.

Everyone's wellbeing marker is different. For some people it's shaving, for others it's doing their hair, wearing makeup, mowing the lawn, making the bed, or cooking meals.

The important thing is knowing your signs and having people around you who notice them too.

🤝 Small signs can tell a big story.
💚 Check in with yourself.
💚 Check in with each other.

🎉🎂💰 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MAN BEHIND THE SCENES! 💰🎂🎉

Today we're celebrating the legend himself... DECKLEN! 🥳
The man who makes sure everyone gets paid, the numbers add up, and somehow manages to stop us all from spending the company money on snacks, coffee, and questionable Facebook Marketplace bargains. 😂
While the support workers are out in the community and the managers are causing chaos, Decklen is behind the scenes making sure the lights stay on, the bills get paid, and payroll magically appears in everyone's bank account every fortnight. 💸✨

Let's be honest... if there is one person you want to keep happy, it's the guy who controls the pay run! 🤣💰
Thank you for everything you do, your hard work, dedication, patience, and for keeping the financial ship sailing smoothly.
Wishing you an absolutely fantastic birthday filled with good food, great company, plenty of laughs, and hopefully at least one day where nobody asks you about invoices, budgets, or payroll! 🍻🎂🎁
Everyone join us in wishing Decklen a HUGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎉🎉🎉
💸😂🎂🥳🍻

One of the most powerful things we teach our young people is that they are allowed to say NO.

No to being uncomfortable.
No to being touched.
No to pressure.
No to silence.
No to things that make them feel unsafe.

For many children and young people living with disability or trauma, their voice has been ignored, spoken over, controlled, or never fully developed. Some have learned to comply just to stay safe. Some were never taught that their feelings mattered in the first place.

So teaching them to speak up is bigger than communication.
It’s about giving power back.

We teach them that their body belongs to them.
That their voice matters.
That boundaries are healthy.
That they do not have to “just go along with it” to make others comfortable.

Sometimes “NO” is whispered.
Sometimes it’s delayed.
Sometimes it comes through behaviour before words.

But every single time a young person learns they can advocate for themselves safely, a piece of confidence is rebuilt. 🤍

Our goal isn’t obedience at all costs.
Our goal is raising young people who know they deserve respect, safety, choice, and the right to be hear.

We don’t just talk about values here.
We live them.

In a value-based company, the right people matter more than titles, experience, or ticking boxes. When our staff walk through the door with compassion, patience, empathy, respect, and authenticity already in their hearts… something powerful happens.

Our young people feel it.

They see kindness in hard moments.
They see calm during chaos.
They see respect in every interaction.
They see people who genuinely care.

And slowly, those same values begin flowing into classrooms, friendships, homes, and the wider community.

That’s the butterfly effect.

One caring interaction becomes confidence.
One safe relationship becomes trust.
One moment of being understood can change the direction of a young person’s entire life.

Culture isn’t built from posters on walls.
It’s built by humans showing up every single day with the same heart, the same purpose, and the same values.

And when that alignment is real… young people don’t just hear it.
They become it. 🦋

Bedtime isn’t always “easy” in our homes.
For many of our children, nighttime can feel overwhelming. Quiet moments can bring up fear, anxiety, memories, uncertainty, or emotions they don’t yet have the words for.

A lot of our kids have endured trauma no child should ever have to carry.
So when we focus heavily on routines around bedtime, it’s not about being strict — it’s about creating safety.

We slow things down.
We lower the noise.
We create predictability.
We make space for connection, reassurance, cuddles, calm conversations, sensory regulation, and moments of peace.

Because children who have lived through hard things often need help learning that bedtime can be safe.
That they are safe.
That they are loved.
That tomorrow is coming.

Ending the day on a positive note matters deeply to us.
Not every bedtime is perfect, but every child deserves to fall asleep feeling supported, comforted, and cared for. 🤍
