Well that went sideways fast.
Once again a case of me putting my ambitions ahead of my ability 😫😫😫 both front and rear diff sitting on the dirt in middle and wheels spinning in water like a paddle wheeler. No going backwards or forwards.
Turns out that “ go that way it’s a shortcut” shortly followed by “ keep going mate” was not the correct information.
Anyway whatta ya do?

Few tips from my buddy Lenny from Daly Waters on suitable types of timber and then an enquiry from a customer and made my fists set.

These local hardwood planks were components of a horse stable that was being partly dismantled and altered .
I gave the property owner a bit of a hand in return for the timber.
They were internal members of the stable, they are well seasoned and due to their thickness, durability and quality I’ve decided to turn them into a few large chopping blocks.
Looks like they are going to come up very nice once complete.
They will be finished and ready to go for
Laurieton Riverwalk Markets this Sunday and if they are well received I’ll knock up a few more for the upcoming Old Bar Festival.

Want to build a chopping block with an incredible history that will last for generations?
This old Brushbox was milled probably 80 to 100 years ago and from a tree that was more then likely a few hundred years old.
I seen the old bits of wood driving past a rural property so I stopped and asked the farmer 👩‍🌾 if I could pull them out of his rubbish pile before he 🔥

So old already and will last forever just sand back every 10 years or so and then hand it down to your great grandkids.
Yeah they are more expensive then others but these are part of our history and will be here in the future long after we are gone 😊

It’s weird how much work you need to put into something to make it appear as though you’ve done absolutely nothing at all.
Remember we refuse to stain any of our products that’s not negotiable so this is the natural colour of the timber. How cool is Mother Nature 🥰
The limb that stands it up is hollow and had a mate say it would be great to put a light and speaker at base and hide wiring through hollow limb. Might have to keep this one for myself.
