🩺 We are very happy to welcome Dr Fady Saeed to Junee Medical Centre!
Dr Fady is currently shadowing our Doctors while he orientates to the local area and services. He will begin full-time consultations in the next few weeks.
If you're thinking there's something familiar about him, you'd be correct! Dr Fady is Dr Mina Saeed's brother - who has come to join us all the way from Egypt.

📢 Important Medicare Update

From 1 July 2026, there are changes to how consent is managed when a Medicare service is bulk billed.

All patients attending for bulk-billed services are required to provide consent before your Medicare claim can be submitted.
This allows your Medicare benefit to be paid directly to your Doctor as full payment for the bulk-billed service.

Consent may be completed:
✅ At reception, on a paper form;
✅ Verbally in exceptional circumstances.

PLEASE ensure you do not leave after your appointment without signing your form.

Digital options, including consent via SMS are on the way and will be introduced shortly.

"Enduring consent" will also be available to MyMedicare registered patients very soon. This will provide your ongoing consent to be bulk-billed and avoid us having to chase consent after each appointment. This is only available to regular patients who attend our practice for routine care. As soon as the specific requirements for Enduring consent are released, we will make this option available.

We are expanding!

Very soon, renovation works to extend our waiting room and add an additional consultation room and nurses office will commence. These works will allow us more space for new providers and improve the level of comfort and seating in the waiting room.

We appreciate your patience through this process and will attempt to minimize any disruption to our normal service delivery.

From 1st July 2026, significant workflow changes are affecting the way General Practices bulk-bill for Doctor's services.

To make this easier going forward, we would appreciate if all our regular patients, who intend to continue to see us for their routine, ongoing care, could register with MyMedicare.

Registration simply recognises that you agree you are an active patient here and that you choose our Practice to be your 'primary' medical practice.

If you are not already registered, you will receive a link to complete registration when you receive your HOTDOC appointment reminders.

If you are not set up or have opted out of reminders, you may be asked to sign a paper form at your next appointment.

Registration is very simple and takes only 2 minutes.

This is not mandatory, but it will significantly help us with the big changes that are coming from 1st July. There will be further announcements to come regarding these changes, once final announcements are made from Medicare and the Federal Government.
