🌿 Your voice can help shape a more accessible Karratha 🌿

The City of Karratha is seeking expressions of interest from community members to join the Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Group.

This is a wonderful opportunity for people with lived experience of disability, carers, families, and professionals in the disability support sector to help guide future access and inclusion initiatives across our local community.

At Regional Independence Services, I strongly believe that the best decisions are made when the people most impacted are included in the conversation.

If you are passionate about accessibility, inclusion, independence, and making sure everyone can participate in community life, I encourage you to consider applying, or to share this with someone who may be interested.

The City is also seeking feedback on its draft Disability Access and Inclusion Policy.

📅 Expressions of interest and feedback close Friday 19 June 2026.

Please see the City of Karratha posters attached for more information, including how to apply and where to access support or alternative formats.

Together, we can keep building a more inclusive and accessible community for everyone, regardless of ability.

🌷♥️ Happy Mother’s Day ♥️🌷

Today, I want to acknowledge the incredible mothers, mother figures, and full-time carers who give so much of themselves every single day.

Your love, patience, strength, and quiet determination often happen behind the scenes, in the early mornings, the long nights, the appointments, the routines, the worries, and the little moments of care that mean everything.

At Regional Independence Services, I see the difference that love and support can make. To every mum and carer helping someone they love live with dignity, confidence, and independence, thank you.

You are appreciated today and every day. 💐

♥️Happy Mother’s Day from Regional Independence Services.♥️

Wishing You All A Wonderful Day.
