🗣️Happy Speech Pathology Week! 🦋

During Speech Pathology Week, we’re shining a light on the many ways people communicate through spoken words, signs, gestures, symbols, facial expressions, AAC and more.

Communication opens doors. It helps us connect with others, express who we are, make choices, build confidence and take part in the world around us.

We’re incredibly proud of our Kaleidoscope Speech Pathologists, whose knowledge, creativity and compassion support children and families to discover communication methods that are meaningful and empowering for them.

Their work also extends beyond communication, supporting safe eating, drinking and swallowing to help children participate more confidently in everyday life.

Book Week at Kaleidoscope! 📚🐛🧸🪄✨

This week, our wonderful team has brought some of their favourite characters to life, filling the clinic with colour, creativity and a little extra magic! ✨

Book Week is about celebrating the joy of stories and the many ways books help us connect, imagine and see the world from different perspectives. It encourages children to discover new adventures, develop a love of reading and find characters and stories that inspire them. 📖✨

We love celebrating the stories that spark imaginations, encourage communication and take us on the most wonderful adventures. Our team has certainly embraced the Book Week spirit with their creative costumes! 😍

We’re proud to share that Joanne Rogers, Co-Director and Occupational Therapist at Kaleidoscope Therapy Services, will be presenting at an upcoming Macedon Ranges Schools Mental Health Network event.

Joanne will explore how sensory processing, executive functioning and other factors can influence a student’s attention, emotional regulation, transitions, organisation and engagement at school.

The session will also offer practical, easy-to-implement strategies to help create more inclusive classrooms and support the participation and learning of students with diverse needs.

We now have a second location across the road at 2 Jennings Street, which will be known as our Blue Clinic.

This beautiful new space includes additional therapy rooms, sensory areas and gross motor spaces, allowing us to support even more children and families in a welcoming and engaging environment.

We can’t wait to welcome you to our new clinic! ✨

DIR® Floortime supports development through shared play, following a child’s interests and building meaningful back and forth interactions.

🎀 We’re Squatting for a Cause 🎀

This March, the Kaleidoscope Therapy team is taking on the National Breast Cancer Foundation Squat Challenge 💗

We’ll be completing 56 squats a day to honour the 56 Australians diagnosed with breast cancer every single day.

As a practice built around care, connection and supporting families through life’s challenges, this cause is close to our hearts. Breast cancer impacts mums, sisters, grandmothers, friends, colleagues and many families in our community.
