Hello! If you've stumbled across this post in your search for supports, you might have just found what you're looking for.
Supporting You Better is a local NDIS support provider based in Largs. We currently have capacity across our day programs, home & community supports, and SIL homes, and would love for you to come and check us out.
Our hub is located on the Hunter River in Largs, at a small family run farm. Participants are supported to utilise our facilities for developing life and social skills, in a safe, inclusive environment.
At The Farm, The Shed is our main gathering place, where participants have access to multiple PCs and gaming consoles (modern and retro), a 3D printer, and a seemingly endless supply of arts/craft materials. Outdoors we have a large trampoline, play equipment, a small disc golf course, gardens, sporting equipment, and plenty of fishing rods to take down to the river.
Our program often ventures out into the wider community for activities like the usual movies and ten-pin bowling, but also to explore our local area and cultural heritage, scavenger hunts, geocaching, orienteering, and much more.
In the coming months we will be partnering with local charitable organisations to raise funds and provide an opportunity for the participants we support to be part of their community, and a chance to develop skills they might transfer to paid employment.
In addition to our day programs, Supporting You Better also also provides:
- SIL, ILO & STA
- 1:1 supports at home and in the community
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) trained staff with experience implementing Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans including Authorised Restrictive Practices
- Supported employment (coming soon)
