A friend shared in a book she’s reading a theory called the “three-day effect” explored by Dr Dimitry Williams and neuroscientist Dr David Strayer
Suggesting it takes around three days in the wilderness for the busy, overstimulated mind to truly slow down. The nervous system softens. The mental “windshield” clears. We begin to hear ourselves again.

That’s why we’re taking the Monday off work.

Not to escape life… but to return to it differently.

From 12–14 September, Off Grid Escape invites you into three days without phone reception, without the constant noise, and without needing to perform. Just nature, movement, breath, connection, rest, fires, stars and space to remember what it feels like to simply be human again.

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is step away long enough for the body and mind to recover naturally.

We don’t always realise how much the city is asking of our nervous system until we step away from it.

The constant movement, the stimulation, the doing…
it keeps us in a state of subtle alertness …always “on”, even when we’re trying to rest.

And then… you arrive here.

No reception.
No noise.
No urgency.

Just space to soften.
Space to breathe.
Space to feel again.

This weekend is a gentle reset, not through force or fixing, but through slowing down enough for your body to remember how to regulate itself.

Through breath, movement, connection, stillness and nature, we return to a steadier rhythm… where clarity comes easier, energy restores, and capacity expands.

We’ve felt it ourselves every time we go.
And it never stops surprising us how different life feels on the other side of that pause.

We’re opening the space for a community satsang & supper— an evening of music, connection, and shared nourishment.

We’ll gather in song
Sanskrit, English, Spanish, Portuguese
voices blending, no pressure to perform, just to be part of something shared.

Satsang means coming together in truth…
and sometimes that looks like singing,
sometimes listening,
sometimes just sitting side by side.

Arrival from 6:15 to share a simple supper
warm soup or kitchari, made with care,
eaten slowly, in good company.

This is a pay-what-you-feel offering
($8–$21 suggested) so everyone can come.

Bring a friend, bring your voice,
or just bring yourself as you are.

Something unplanned and completely magical happened yesterday. intention for her final class was “Gentle Nature Flow” and there are no words that can explain what happened.
We went to have a celebration with our YTT crew and as we were walking over to set up our mats someone was talking about equine therapy, then just like that!
Still can’t really believe it!!! When you move like nature, you are one with it 🫶🏽
