Three hundred kilometers, two transplants and a dog - by John Fryer

'Ginny and I moved from the Perth Hills to Margaret River, about three hundred kilometres south-west. The move had little effect on my care as most of my haematologist appointments were by telehealth...The Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS) helped by contributing to some of the travel and accommodation costs. I was also able to have my zoledronic acid infusions at my local GP clinic, which helped to reduce the amount of travel.'

Thank you.

This tax time, our community showed up in the biggest way - and we're beyond grateful. Every single donation helps fund research, support services and a future where myeloma can be beaten.

Because of you, families affected by myeloma have more hope, more support and more reason to believe in what's ahead.

From all of us at Myeloma Australia - thank you. 💙

Myeloma is often invisible, until it isn't.

It's the second most common blood cancer in Australia, yet so many people have never heard of it.

The more visible it becomes, the sooner people get answers, support and the right care.

Help us make the invisible, visible.

No pain. No fatigue. No symptoms, until a routine blood test changed everything. Lynne refused to stop moving, and myeloma couldn't stop her either.
