You deserve to eat by being born.
Not because you worked out today.
Not because you “were good” all week.
Not because you earned it, balanced it out, or promised yourself you’d do better tomorrow.
Just because you’re a human,
and human needs to eat.
Somewhere along the way, most of us were handed the belief that eating something you want is a reward, a indulgence.
And when that belief runs deep enough, it doesn’t just change how you eat (e.g. make food seems more desirable)
It changes how you see yourself.
Like your basic needs are conditional.
Like you have to prove something before you’re allowed to be fed.
Eating freely, eating enjoyably, eating without guilt isn’t something you have to qualify for.
To anyone try to implant you the idea that nourishment and enjoyment is conditional based on your worth, race, gender, body types…
Kindly (or aggressively) say “thank you, next!”
