Rethinking how we design simulation-based learning 🎓💭

A new article by Jeffrey J. H. Cheung and colleagues challenges the traditional approach of designing simulation around three distinct phases: prebriefing, simulation engagement and debriefing.

The authors suggest shifting the focus from individual phases to the learning experience as a whole, considering how instruction, feedback, reflection and prior knowledge work together to support meaningful and lasting learning.

A new study by Devin A. McKissic and colleagues explores how paediatric critical care transport teams experience simulation-based education, drawing on debriefing sessions from the multicentre ImPACTS transport simulation study.
