Bloating from time to time can be completely normal, but persistent, painful, or worsening bloating shouldn’t be ignored.

Your body often gives subtle signs when something isn’t quite right. If bloating is becoming a regular part of your life or affecting your wellbeing, it’s worth having a conversation with your healthcare provider.

At VERT, we believe persistent symptoms deserve to be explored, not dismissed.

B vitamins play an essential role in supporting your body’s everyday functions.

They help support normal energy production, healthy nervous system function, and psychological wellbeing, making them an important part of overall health.

While supplements can be a helpful addition for some people, they’re most effective when paired with a balanced diet, quality sleep, regular movement, and healthy lifestyle habits.

At VERT, we’re here to help you make informed, evidence-based choices about your health.

Feeling run down every now and then is part of life, but when symptoms become persistent, they may be your body’s way of asking you to slow down.

Fatigue, frequent headaches, irritability, poor-quality sleep, or finding it difficult to switch off can all have many possible causes. Paying attention to these changes is the first step toward understanding what’s going on.

Your body speaks before it shouts. Listen to what it’s telling you.

At VERT, we believe persistent symptoms deserve to be explored, not dismissed.

Persistent fatigue isn’t always “just being busy.”

While everyone feels tired from time to time, ongoing exhaustion that doesn’t improve with rest or starts affecting your daily life is worth paying attention to.

At VERT, we believe persistent symptoms deserve to be explored, not dismissed. If something doesn’t feel right, start the conversation with your healthcare provider.

Not every health question has an immediate answer, and that’s okay.

Some conditions take time to diagnose. What’s important is leaving your appointment with a clear understanding of what your clinician is thinking, what the next steps are, and feeling confident enough to ask questions along the way.

At VERT, we’re here to support informed, confident healthcare.

💬 Have you ever left an appointment with more questions than answers?

Inflammation isn’t always obvious. Sometimes, it’s the result of everyday habits that slowly add up.

Poor sleep, chronic stress, smoking, excess alcohol, and physical inactivity can all contribute to ongoing inflammation in the body.

The good news? Small, consistent changes can make a real difference over time.

At VERT, we believe better health starts with understanding your body and making sustainable lifestyle changes. If you’re concerned about inflammation or your overall wellbeing, speak with your healthcare provider about the approach that’s right for you.

Meet Humulene - the earthy terpene found in hops, black pepper, sage, cloves and c*nn*b*s.

Researchers are exploring humulene for its potential anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving and antibacterial properties, as well as its possible role in appetite regulation. While the findings are promising, more human research is needed.

At VERT, we’re passionate about helping you better understand the fascinating compounds found in plants, because knowledge is part of good care.

Not all period pain is “just part of being a woman.”

While mild cramping can be normal, pain that stops you from living your everyday life deserves to be taken seriously. Conditions like endometriosis, adenomyosis and fibroids can all contribute to significant pain, and many people wait years for a diagnosis.

At VERT, we believe pain is information. If your symptoms are affecting your quality of life, it’s worth having a conversation with a healthcare professional.

Have you ever been told your period pain was “just normal”? Share your experience below.

Should your doctor make decisions for you... or with you?

For years, healthcare has often been built around telling people what’s best.

But the best care isn’t just evidence-based.
It’s person-centred.

Some people want clear direction.
Others want to understand every option before making a decision.

Shared decision-making combines clinical decision making with the patient’s values, preferences and goals.

Tell us below how involved do you like to be in decisions about your healthcare?

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential nutrients that support healthy brain and nervous system function. As our bodies can’t produce them efficiently on their own, they need to come from our diet or, where appropriate, supplementation.

Best food sources of omega-3 fatty acids:

Fatty fish (rich in EPA and DHA)
• Salmon
• Sardines
• Mackerel
• Herring
• Trout
• Anchovies

Plant sources (rich in ALA)
• Chia seeds
• Ground flaxseeds (linseeds)
• H**p seeds
• Walnuts
• Edamame
• Soybeans

Fortified foods
• Omega-3 enriched eggs
• Some yoghurts
• Some milks

Algae
• Algae oil (a vegan source of DHA and sometimes EPA)

Easy ways to increase your intake
✔️ Sprinkle chia seeds on yoghurt.
✔️ Add ground flaxseed to smoothies or oats.
✔️ Snack on a handful of walnuts.
✔️ Aim for 2–3 serves of oily fish each week.
✔️ Add h**p seeds to salads or soups.
✔️ Consider an algae-based supplement if you don’t eat fish (after discussing it with your healthcare professional).

At VERT, we believe good health starts with strong foundations. Supporting the body through nutrition is one of the many ways we take a whole-person approach to care.
