WHEN THE DUST SETTLES: A COMMUNITY CONVERSATION THAT MATTERS
📍 Moranbah recently came together for a powerful screening of When the Dust Settles, thanks to the leadership and commitment of The Outback Foundation and its valued partners.
A sincere thank you to:
The Outback Foundation
Civeo
Isaac Regional Council
Moranbah & District Support Services (MDSS)
for bringing this important documentary and conversation to our community.
Supporting Men's Mental Health Starts With Conversation
The film highlighted the realities many people face in regional and mining communities, and the ripple effects that mental health challenges can have on workers, families, friends, and the wider community.
Isaac Navicare was proud to attend and show support for an issue that continues to impact communities across the Bowen Basin.
Mining is an industry built on resilience, strength and hard work—but behind every roster, shift and worksite is a person, a family and a community.
Mental health challenges don't discriminate.
That's why the message remains as important today as ever:
"It Ain't Weak To Speak."
Let's continue to normalise:
✔ Talking openly about mental health
✔ The ups and downs of life
✔ Checking in with mates
✔ Seeking support early
✔ Asking for help when life becomes challenging
Prevention Matters
One of the most powerful messages from the event was the importance of early support.
"Prehabilitation beats Rehabilitation."
The earlier we reach out, connect and seek support, the better the outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
Thank You
A special thank you to Civeo for standing behind The Outback Mind Foundation and helping create opportunities for important conversations around mental health and su***de prevention in regional Australia.
Together, we can continue building communities where seeking support is seen as a strength, not a weakness.
